Lexie’s POV

I never was a fan of flying and I believe Samuel had figured that out as my nails were probably embedded into his leg by now as the plane took off. When the plane finely leveled off, I slowly loosened my grip on his leg, and I could hear a sigh of relief from Samuel beside me and I quickly looked at his face and I could see that I had caused him pain. “I am so sorry.” I said to him as I began to rub his leg where my hand was gripping him.

He leaned into whisper to me, “Lexie, Sweetheart you have the strength of ten men now. Could you please take it a little easier on my poor leg.” And then he chuckled which made me laugh.

Here I was scared of flying when in reality I was an immortal. I had no idea why flying made me so scared other than the whole plummeting out of the sky to a horrible death.
