Contract award in three days' time

Veronica paced back and forth in her bedroom, her phone pressed against her ear as she waited for Harry to pick up. She was impatient and angry, and it showed in her voice when he finally answered.

"Well?" she snapped. "What's your answer? Are you going to get rid of Scarlet so I can help you in winning the contract? Or would you rather see yourself lose in front of the world?”

There was a long pause on the other end of the line. Veronica could hear Harry's hesitation, and it only made her more infuriated.

"Come on, Harry," she spat. "I don't have all day. Make a damn decision."

Finally, Harry spoke up. "Okay, Veronica. I'll do it. I'll get rid of Scarlet."

Veronica felt a rush of satisfaction flood through her. Finally, Harry has agreed to get rid of Scarlet just like she wanted.

"Good,” she said, a wicked smile spreading across her face. “Consider yourself the winner of the contract, and I assure you, you will have it in your palms in three days' time!”
