LOGINChapter 6
…
When Elena’s first transformation occurred, only the majestic deer witnessed it. As if knowing what it had to do, the deer bit Elena’s dress and dragged her through the forest.
Elena was already fine. She had returned to her human form, and now she was simply in a deep sleep.
No one knew where the majestic deer was taking her, but it carried her all night to a certain place.
The sound of water could be heard.
The majestic deer placed Elena beneath a wild apple tree near the Black Lake, then the black deer left just like that, leaving Elena alone.
…
Knock knock knock
All the wolves had returned to their respective residences, looking very happy because perhaps Elena had already been eaten by one of the wild beasts in the Black Forest.
But not Elias Frostclaw. He was going to the forest to search for Elena, even if his parents forbade him. However, Elias knew he was not strong enough yet to face the beasts that might dwell deep within the forest.
So he tried asking Caelan for help again.
He knocked on the door of Caelan’s residence, and when Caelan opened it...
“We have to look for Elena. It’s not too late! We can still save her!” Elias growled.
Caelan’s gaze darkened. He clenched his fists and, with a cold heart, still refused.
“No! It’s her fate to receive all of this. She’s half-human. She’s cursed! So stop talking nonsense and return to your residence!” Caelan growled coldly.
Hearing that, Elias truly did not expect Caelan to be this cruel to Elena. In the past, Caelan had always protected Elena whenever she was bullied by the other wolves.
Caelan was about to close the door, but Elias immediately held it back.
“She…” Elias’ voice trembled. He cared deeply for Elena, though he himself did not truly understand his feelings.
“She will die in there, Caelan. Don’t you understand? She will die!” Elias growled, making Caelan’s body turn cold.
His breathing became heavy, his face turned pale. He clenched his fists and stared at Elias with an angry gaze.
But his lips were sealed. He could not say anything, because deep in his heart, he truly did not want Elena to die in the forest.
His great hatred toward half-humans still could not make him wish for Elena’s death.
“HH!” Caelan’s breathing became ragged. He gripped the door until it shattered, then...
He stepped out of his house. “No one must know about this! And when we find Elena, take her as far away as possible. I don’t want to see her again after this,” Caelan growled as he brought his horse, and the two of them entered the forest that night to search for Elena.
But it was futile. Elena was nowhere to be found, and strangely, the forest felt very quiet that night. The monsters that lived there seemed to vanish into the darkness.
Caelan and Elias fell silent. The sun had risen, yet Elena was not found.
BOOM.
Caelan punched a tree until it collapsed instantly. He remembered Elena’s expression and her screams begging him, yet he had not helped her at all.
“AAAAAA!” Caelan screamed as he felt unbearable pain. He could feel his Luna bond snap, which meant Elena had truly died.
Meanwhile, Elias lowered his head and cried with clenched fists. Then he turned toward Caelan.
“She was only a nineteen-year-old girl. I don’t understand why you poured all your hatred onto her!”
“You know she did nothing wrong!” Elias shouted angrily, unable to hold back the grief and pain in his heart.
Then, overwhelmed with sorrow, he left Caelan standing at the edge of the forest, looking empty and silent.
The words that came from Elias’ lips struck Caelan like a hard slap, leaving his gaze hollow.
…
At the same time, just as the sun had risen, Esseli Argan, Elena’s grandmother, immediately left the house to search for Elena.
She walked using a cane made from tree roots that Elena had brought from the forest for her.
Elena had not returned home all night, which made Esseli very worried. It was unusual for her granddaughter not to come home.
The first place she went was the building where Elena usually worked, the soldiers’ quarters.
Knock… knock… knock…
Esseli knocked on the large door. After several minutes, an officer came out—Cairis—who looked surprised to see Elena’s grandmother standing in front of the door.
“Sorry to disturb you so early. Is Elena here? She didn’t come home last night…” Esseli asked with a worried expression on her face.
Her aged eyes fixed on Cairis with hope, but the answer she heard next made her body go weak.
“What?”
“My granddaughter was thrown into the Black Forest last night?”
“Why?”
“Why are you all so cruel?! What did my granddaughter do wrong?”
“She’s just an innocent young girl. She never once made a mistake. She’s my only granddaughter, my most precious treasure!”
“Why did you do that to her? Why?”
Esseli cried heavily, her body trembling, and the cane she held fell from her hand in shock.
Cairis, looking annoyed, replied harshly.
“She’s half-human, a descendant of demons who should not exist in this Pack. Stop blaming everyone for your cursed granddaughter!” Cairis shouted before immediately closing the door.
After learning that her granddaughter had been thrown into the Black Forest last night, Esseli grabbed her cane and walked with a limp while crying. She would search for her granddaughter herself in the forest.
…
Meanwhile...
“Uhk!”
Elena woke up because of the sound of an apple falling beside her. Her hazel eyes slowly opened, and she saw the bright blue sky above.
“Is this heaven?” she whispered softly as she sat up. She froze for a moment, then looked at her old blue dress, now torn and ragged.
“HUH?”
Elena was startled. When she looked around, she immediately recognized the place.
This was where Lucy had drowned. And where she had met Lucien Noctyrr Valecrest.
“How am I here? The distance between this forest and the Blackthorn Pack forest is very far…” Elena was very shocked. Then she looked at her arm, which was completely fine.
There were no burn marks and no pain that she could feel now.
“HUH?”
Elena grew more confused. She did not understand why she was still alive and even in a place very far from where she had almost died last night.
But no matter what, she suddenly remembered that she had not returned home last night. Her grandmother must be very worried.
“I have to return home immediately. Grandma must be very worried about me…” Elena stood up and was about to return to Blackthorn Pack, but then her steps halted. She remembered that she had been thrown into the Black Forest, which meant she was no longer part of the Pack.
Which meant Elena could not return to Blackthorn Pack. Realizing that, Elena lowered her head in silence.
The sound of her stomach growling could be heard.
“Hk!”
“I’m hungry!”
“I should just eat this apple while thinking about how to return to Grandma’s house,” Elena whispered as she climbed the tree and sat on a large apple tree branch while eating the fruit.
She looked at the lake below, then at the blue sky.
“The lake and the sky are the same color…” Elena whispered softly. She closed her eyes, and somehow she wanted to cry again, but she held back her tears.
She still remembered how Alpha Caelan had rejected her and made her suffer so much last night.
…
At the same time...
Lucien Noctyrr Valecrest, who had felt something strange last night, could no longer sleep. That morning, he walked through the forest again. He was wearing a white silk shirt paired with black trousers.
He liked entering the forest, because in the forest everything seemed simple.
As he walked farther, his blue eyes caught sight of someone sitting on a tree branch. The gentle wind brushed her long golden hair, and her very beautiful face made Lucien stand still for a long time.
“This scent… it’s that girl…” Lucien whispered with a sharp smirk.
Before him stood the same girl he had met several years ago, the golden-haired girl who had once caught Lucien’s interest.
Interested in bullying her and making her cry.

Chapter 24: The First Kiss…The gentle breeze made the atmosphere incredibly calm. The shining full moon made everything feel beautiful. The soft sound of the Black Lake’s water below could be heard clearly, because the place felt peaceful and quiet.Lucien’s deep, sharp blue eyes observed Elena’s golden hair, her long wavy strands flowing beautifully. Her arms were curled around her legs, and her face turned slightly to the side with her eyes closed. She looked beautiful before Lucien’s eyes.He had never felt anything like this before—this mad feeling that wanted Elena, yet also wanted to erase her, a strange emotion that made him lose his reason.“Hmm…”“How can you sleep at a time like this, half-human? You truly underestimate me, don’t you?&rdqu
Chapter 23…“HH!” His breath burned hot, and the wild desire to do all kinds of naughty things with Elena nearly drove Lucien mad.The strength of his grip tore the bedsheet in his hand, and in the next instant he stopped where he was.He did not continue the kiss. He knew that a king like him did not need to do such a thing.Lucien slowly lifted his face, and his gaze returned to its cold, sharp state. He looked at Elena’s sleeping face, which appeared peaceful…“This strange feeling I have is driving me mad and making me uncomfortable. I will not kiss you by force, but I will make you kiss me willingly…”“Oh Elena, half-human…” Lucien stretched out his hand and brushed Elena’s lips with his warm fingers. Then, with a sharp smirk, he continued…“I will make you surrender yourself to me, make you run to me and beg me…”“I will make sure that happens,” Lucien whispered. Then he took the blanket from the bed and covered Elena’s body.Because he had already torn her gown, Lucien could c
Chapter 22…“Huh?”Elena could not hear Lucien clearly. Her face turned deathly pale, and her hand immediately clutched Lucien’s arm as her balance began to collapse. Her hazel eyes were fixed on Lucien’s face, a face that was looking at her with anger and disappointment.Then…Thud.Elena fainted and was about to fall onto the grass. Chapter 21…“He is the only half-human who survived. Yesterday the Umbreal broke loose again and slaughtered his village…”“I think as a half-human you might be able to communicate with him a little better.”Lucien brought Elena into a room where the small child he had saved yesterday lay weak, because Umbreal blood had entered his veins.Elena’s eyes widened when she saw the child. She could not describe how painful it felt to see him.Tap. Tap. Tap.Elena stepped closer, her eyes instantly glazing with tears. Seeing the child’s wounds made her heart feel shattered.“You must be really scared, aren’t you? Why is your body so thin?” Elena whispered softly, stroking the child’s hair with her trembling hand.Seeing that, Lucien frowned. He
Chapter 20…GulpLucien swallowed roughly, his pale blue eyes staring at Elena with a sharp gaze filled with a desire he did not understand.“H-H!” His breathing grew heavy and hot. As his body pressed against Elena’s, there was a strange warmth he felt, like electricity flowing through his veins that made the hairs on his neck stand.Elena’s beautiful face, her round hazel eyes and cheeks that always flushed when she was surprised or annoyed, her lips that looked as fresh as a newly picked red apple, her slightly wet golden hair—everything about Elena was so beautiful that Lucien’s desire surged, and he did not understand why he felt this way.No words came from his lips. His still-wet body made Elena’s dress damp as well, and with heavy breaths and a sharp gaze that made Elena’s chest feel tight, Lucie
Chapter 19…Time seemed to move so slowly. In Lucien’s eyes, everything became blurry; there was only one clear sight — Elena sleeping soundly on the sofa.“HH!”Lucien’s breathing became very heavy. His blue eyes looked extremely sharp as he stood upright in his place for a few seconds, until he stepped closer toward Elena.“You strange girl, how dare you sleep in a king’s study.” “If you were anyone else, you would already be dead, but because you are Elena, I will forgive you once again,” Lucien whispered softly. He stood beside the sofa, lowering his face and observing Elena’s face closely. He then lowered his body so he could see Elena’s face even closer. With Lucien bracing his legs in front of the sofa where Elena was asleep, he could see her very clear
