CHAPTER 72

Massimo sat on the sofa as he sipped his whisky. Drinking this early was never a habit, but he was so stressed that he needed to blow off some steam.

His head was filled with so many thoughts. He and Karl had to leave for Paris again because their plan to take down the snake gang didn't go through as planned, so they needed a better strategy, one that wouldn't fail.

Val had called him earlier to inform him that she would be returning today, so he was waiting for her. Just then, in the midst of the silence and chaos, his phone rang, and he let out a loud sigh as he dipped his hand into his pockets.

The bright light reflected on his face, and he stared at the caller ID for a while before answering it.

He brought it closer to his ear, not saying anything. His hand tightened around the phone as his jaw ticked. He dashed out of the house right after that.
