Amara’s POV

I couldn’t stop the tears from falling. No matter how hard I tried, they just kept streaming down my cheeks. I didn’t wipe them away—I let them flow freely, like the pain in my heart needed an escape.

I felt broken.

Gilan was so cold to me. The way he looked at me, the way he spoke—like I was nothing. He told me, without flinching, that he didn’t love me. That he stopped caring about me a long time ago. All this time, I was the only one holding onto us. The only one dreaming about a future. The only one who waited.

And it hurts. God, it hurts.

I walked out of the palace slowly, my heart heavy and shattered into pieces. The joy I had felt earlier—the excitement, the hope, the butterflies—all of it had died the moment I looked into his eyes and realized he didn’t want me anymore. I was nothing but a memory to him. Maybe not even that.

To him, I was a burden. A mistake.

I took a cab and went straight home. As soon as I stepped inside, I collapsed on my bed, my body shaking as I cried bitterly into my pillow. This wasn’t how I pictured the day going. This wasn’t how our love story was supposed to end.

Everything was ruined. My dreams, my hopes, my heart.

Then I heard a voice.

“When did you get back? I thought you'd spend the whole day at the palace?” Helen’s voice called from the hallway.

I turned my face away from the door, hoping she hadn’t seen the state I was in. I truly thought she had already gone back to her house. I didn’t notice her when I came in.

“Helen… were you here the whole time? I didn’t see you come in,” I replied quickly, trying to steady my voice, hoping it didn’t sound as broken as I felt.

“I just came back. I forgot something and stopped by to get it,” she said, walking toward me. Then she paused, looking concerned. “Why are you lying down like that? Amara… are you crying?”

I panicked inside. She knew me too well. I didn’t want her to see me like this—crying over a man. Crying over him.

“No, I’m not crying,” I lied. “Gilan was really tired, so I decided to come back home and let him rest.”

I avoided her eyes. I knew they were red and swollen, and the moment she looked at me closely, she would know the truth.

“Amara,” Helen said softly, stepping closer. “Please don’t lie to me. This isn’t like you. Something’s wrong, I can feel it. Just tell me what happened at the palace. Please.”

She reached for my hand and looked at me—truly looked at me. I couldn’t take it anymore. I broke down.

The tears returned like a storm and I collapsed into her arms, holding her tightly as I sobbed.

“It hurts, my friend… it hurts so much,” I cried.

“Oh Amara,” she whispered. “Tell me what happened. Why are you in this state? I’ve never seen you like this before.”

“Gilan… he said he doesn’t love me anymore,” I said, choking on my own words. “He broke up with me. He told me to move on… but how can I? I love him, Helen. I love him so deeply and I don’t know how to let go.”

Helen hugged me even tighter, stroking my back gently. “I’m so sorry, my friend. That’s awful. Did you tell the queen? Maybe she can talk to him.”

“No,” I said, shaking my head. “I left the palace right after he ended things. I didn’t have the strength to speak to anyone else. I just needed to get out of there.”

“But why, Amara?” she asked gently. “The queen likes you. She would understand. She could help you.”

“I was too ashamed. If people find out Gilan rejected me, they’ll laugh. They’ll mock me. I’ll become the talk of the town. Everyone thinks we’re still together. I don’t know how to face them if they find out the truth.”

Helen held my face in her hands. “Stop worrying about what people will say. What matters right now is how you feel. You need to stand up for yourself. If the queen knows, she might convince him to rethink things.”

She was right. I hadn’t even considered that option. I was so caught up in the pain that I had forgotten the queen might be on my side. It had been foolish of me to leave the palace without speaking to her.

“Do you think I should call her?” I asked hesitantly.

“Yes. I think you should,” Helen replied firmly. “She deserves to know what her son did. And if she really cares about you—which I believe she does—she’ll talk to him. Maybe even scold him. How dare he hurt my beautiful friend like this.”

Her words gave me the strength I needed.

I sat up, wiped my face with a handkerchief, and picked up my phone. My fingers trembled slightly as I dialed the queen’s number.

She answered almost immediately.

Queen: “Yes, my dear. How are you? I’m sorry I wasn’t at the palace when you came by.”

Me: “It’s okay, Your Majesty. I went to see Gilan… but things didn’t go well.”

Queen: “What happened? Did something go wrong?”

Me: “He ended our relationship. He told me he doesn’t love me anymore. I’m heartbroken.”

There was a short pause on the other end before she spoke.

Queen: “Oh, my dear… I’m truly sorry to hear that. Please don’t cry. I will speak to him. Don’t lose hope. I promise you—everything will be alright.”

She ended the call with those words, and although I still felt hurt, something about her voice comforted me.

Helen leaned in, eager to hear what was said.

“What did she say?” she asked.

“She said she’ll talk to him,” I replied.

“Good. Let’s wait and hope for good news, my friend,” Helen said with a soft smile. “Maybe Gilan will come to his senses and realize he’s made a mistake. I’m praying for that.”

“I hope so too,” I whispered. “Gilan is the only man I’ve ever truly loved. I can’t let him go… not without a fight. He belongs to me, and no other woman will have him. I’ll make sure of it.”

“That’s the spirit!” Helen beamed. “So no more crying, okay? Everything will fall into place. I believe it.”

I smiled through the tears. Her words brought me a little bit of peace.

And deep down, I hoped she was right. I hoped that one day soon, Gilan would look at me again the way I looked at him.

  • In Love With The Prince    The regret

Gilan's POV “Ooh, my head... Why am I feeling so dizzy and heavy?” I mutter as I slowly open my eyes. My head throbbed like a drum, and I felt as though I had downed several bottles of strong alcohol. But I haven’t touched any liquor for a long time, so this feeling didn’t make sense. Something wasn’t right. Something was definitely wrong. It felt like I had been drugged. That thought alone made my stomach turn. As I slowly sit up, I realize, I’m completely naked. My eyes widen in disbelief. Then, horror strikes me to my core when I see Amara lying next to me in bed, equally naked. My heart skips a beat. My breath catches. My entire body goes cold. No. No. No. This can’t be happening. “Amara! What are you doing in my bed?” I shout as I roughly shake her awake, panic rising in my chest like a wildfire. She slowly opens her eyes, pretending to be groggy, and then smiles as though everything is normal. “Hey Gilan… Why are you acting so shocked?” she says sweetly, stretching

  • In Love With The Prince    Executing my plan

Amara's POV I felt a strange satisfaction knowing that the Queen had called me to ask about Gilan's whereabouts. Now that he was finally back at the palace, it was the perfect opportunity for me to act. My heart was set — I had made up my mind. I missed him terribly. Despite everything that had happened, my love for Gilan hadn't changed. I still wanted him. I still dreamed of being his wife. The past few weeks had been nothing short of a nightmare, but I saw this pregnancy as my one and only chance to secure a future with him. No matter how the baby was conceived, I was determined not to get rid of it. I had convinced myself that Gilan had to be the one to take responsibility. I would make him believe the child was his. If I didn’t do it now, I’d lose him forever — and that was a fate I couldn’t accept. “Let me call the Queen first… I need to be sure he's home before I go there,” I said to myself, picking up my phone. I dialed her number, and she answered right away. Me — "My Que

  • In Love With The Prince    A surprise visit

Gilan’s POV After we were done buying Elena her phone, we started driving back to the house we now shared. The air inside the car felt light and joyful, filled with soft laughter and warmth. “Thank you for this, baby,” Elena said, holding the phone delicately in her hands like it was made of glass. “I don’t even know how to use it. This is my first time owning a smartphone.” I glanced over and smiled at her. “Don’t worry, baby. I’ll teach you everything. It’s easy once you get the hang of it.” She gave a small laugh and looked at me with trust in her eyes. “I know I’ll be fine as long as I have you by my side. You make me feel safe. I don’t have to worry about anything.” Hearing those words filled me with so much joy. “That means a lot, Elena. Thank you for trusting me so much.” “Thank you, Gilan. You’ve given me so much. Right now, I’m the happiest I’ve ever been in my life, and I honestly can’t put that into words.” Her eyes sparkled as she spoke, and I felt my chest swell wit

  • In Love With The Prince    My life is ruined

Amara’s POV I must admit—ever since that horrible night, I haven’t been the same. I’ve been haunted every day by what happened to me. My body moves, my mouth speaks, but deep down I feel completely broken. I carry a silent storm inside me—one that never seems to calm. But there’s one thing that’s been bothering me even more lately, something I haven’t had the courage to speak about… Until now. It’s been over a week since my period was supposed to arrive. I kept telling myself it was just stress, or maybe I was overthinking things. But now the delay is starting to terrify me. There are no signs at all—no cramps, no discomfort, no usual symptoms. Just silence. And silence can be frightening. Lying in bed, I stared blankly at the ceiling, my thoughts spinning endlessly. I felt trapped inside my own mind. Miserable. Isolated. Empty. My life, which once had hope and purpose, now feels like a heavy burden I never asked to carry. “I just wish my parents were here,” I whispered to the emp

After Three Weeks Gilan's POV It has been three peaceful, joy-filled weeks—three weeks of serenity and laughter shared with Elena. Living under the same roof with her has been the best time of my life. I’ve found a kind of happiness I never knew I needed. Every day with her is full of warmth, simplicity, and quiet love. But beneath that happiness… something keeps bothering me. I know my parents. It won’t be long before they track me down. I am their only son—the crown prince. They won’t stop searching. And though I try to push the thought aside, deep down, I know they’ll eventually find me. I just wish they wouldn’t. Not yet. Not when I’m finally learning how beautiful life can be away from the weight of royalty. “Gilan, breakfast is ready!” I hear Elena’s voice echo through the house, breaking my deep thoughts. I’m still lying on the bed, staring at the ceiling. So many thoughts whirl through my mind, but one stands out clearly—I love her. I truly, deeply love Elena. And I’ve be

  • In Love With The Prince    Encounter with a bad man

Amara's POV I slowly open my eyes, and the first thing I notice is the dim lighting of the unfamiliar room. My head is spinning, and a strange heaviness lingers over my body. As I look around, realization strikes me—I am lying on a bed, completely naked. Panic rises in my chest. The man from last night—the one with the mask and sunglasses—is gone. There is no sign of him anywhere. I try to recall what happened, but everything is a blur. My heart sinks further as I shift slightly and feel a sharp pain between my legs. “No… no, please, no,” I whisper, then break down in bitter tears. I tremble as I touch my swollen, bruised body. The pain in my vag**a is unbearable. It feels raw, used, and violated. It’s clear—I had been raped. He must have assaulted me repeatedly through the night. I remember nothing. I had been drugged. That monster did this to me while I was helpless. Tears flow freely down my cheeks. I look around the room, frantic. My bag—gone. My phone—nowhere in sight. “Whe
