FREYA’S POV

My claws extended involuntarily as I paced my parent’s spacious sitting room, The Persian rug beneath my feet suffered from my aggressive stomping. Lunch with the Luna did not quite go as I had expected, and Bruno’s resolve was weakening by the day. I could not loose everything after coming this far. I just couldn’t.

“Can you stop all this frantic pacing. The scent of your anxiety is thick in the air, a suffering to my enhanced sense of smell.” My mother said from the couch where she was perched, reading a book on witches.

"He's getting too close, Mother." My voice came out as a growl, my wolf stirring restlessly beneath my skin, banging on the window that controlled my human form. "Bruno has been pining for that wretched girl even after everything.”

“You know, if you continue pacing about in that manner, Wrinkles will appear on your face and by the time your mating ceremony comes around, you’d look like an old hag” My mother joked, still immersed in the volume she held

Lyra’s POVThe night air was heavy with the scent of burning herbs and damp earth as I followed Rockan through the moonlit gardens. My heart still pounded from the events of the day the near collapse of the mansion, the whispered threats, and Kael’s revelation. Even though I tried to appear composed, my hands trembled slightly, clutching Rockan’s arm as though my grip could anchor me in the storm of emotions swirling around me.“You’ve been quiet,” Rockan murmured, voice low, smooth, and dangerous. His golden eyes flicked to mine, searching, and I felt exposed beneath that gaze.“I…” I hesitated, struggling to find words that would explain the whirlpool of fear, gratitude, and confusion inside me. “I just… I keep thinking about Kael. About everything. The attacks, the conspiracy it’s all too much.”He exhaled slowly, the tension in his shoulders easing slightly. “It’s never too much. You don’t have to carry it alone.” His hand brushed against mine, fingers lingering, grounding me in a

Tyris’ POVThe shadow didn’t pause. Its movements were precise, calculated, almost supernatural. My wolf snarled in warning as I tightened my grip on Lyra, pulling her behind me. Her warm body pressed against mine, a reminder of why I couldn’t fail. I had promised to protect her. I would die before letting anything happen to her.“Stay close,” I hissed, scanning the dim corridor. Every muscle in my body screamed to strike, to obliterate the threat before it could reach us. My eyes adjusted to the shadows, finally locking onto the figure’s gleaming eyes beneath the mask.It wasn’t Marcus. Not entirely. Whoever it was moved with uncanny speed, far surpassing anything I had ever faced. And yet, beneath that mask, I glimpsed something familiar a faint, cruel smirk that made my stomach twist.“Lyra,” I whispered, urgency rising. “When I say run, you run. Don’t look back. Understand?”She nodded, eyes wide but resolute. Her wolf stirred at my side, instincts aligning with mine, prepared to

  • In Love With The Scared Alpha    Gripping

Lyra’s POVTyris stood in the dim light, every inch the predator I had come to know and fear. My pulse raced, heart hammering against my ribcage, as I instinctively took a step back. The shadows seemed to cling to him, accentuating the danger that radiated from his mere presence.“Lyra,” he said again, his voice lower this time, almost a purr. “We need to talk.”“Talk?” I echoed, my voice trembling despite my attempts to appear strong. “You mean after everything… after what happened with Rockan?”He tilted his head, the faintest smirk tugging at his lips. “After everything, yes. But it’s not what you think. I’m here because… because of you.”I froze, caught between disbelief and instinctual mistrust. Every fiber of my being screamed that I shouldn’t trust him. Tyris had been the one orchestrating shadows for as long as I could remember manipulations, threats, and now this… him appearing in my sanctuary.“Lyra, listen,” he continued, stepping closer, his golden eyes gleaming with inten

  • In Love With The Scared Alpha    The World

Lyra’s POVThe moment Rockan’s arms wrapped around me, I felt the heat of his body shield me from the chaos outside, but it did little to calm the storm raging in my chest. The mansion’s grand corridors had become a battlefield overnight, and every instinct in me screamed that this was just the beginning.“Hold on,” he growled, his voice low and steady, almost a rumble beneath my ear. “Stay close, and do exactly as I say.”I nodded, though my fingers still trembled from fear and excitement. His protective grip felt like a lifeline, but the sight through the shattered windows told me that danger was no longer something we could escape. Shadowed figures moved with precision across the lawn, each step deliberate, each strike lethal.“Who are they?” I whispered, my voice barely audible over the sound of breaking glass and distant shouts.“Enemies,” he said sharply, eyes narrowing behind the black mask. “And one of them is too familiar.” His hand tightened around my waist. “Marcus.”The na

  • In Love With The Scared Alpha    The Night

Rockan’s POVThe dawn was reluctant to arrive, creeping across the horizon in pale streaks that barely illuminated the mansion grounds. I had barely slept, my mind tangled in plans, threats, and the pulse of my destined mate who had claimed more of my thoughts than reason allowed. Lyra. Even in her peaceful slumber, she had an uncanny power over me a power I feared, craved, and could not resist.I had to leave before she awoke. Tyris’ words from last night still rang in my ears, a cautionary reminder I had broken before even consulting Seraphina. The thought of her sitting in my bed, vulnerable and unaware, stirred my wolf with a ferocity I struggled to contain. Duty demanded restraint, but instinct rebelled with a hunger I could not suppress.Slipping through the corridors, I caught a glimpse of the first light illuminating the gardens below. My wolf roared at the freedom of open space, but my mind kept me tethered to my responsibilities. Kael had survived, but the pieces of this pu

Tyris’ POVI watched with mounting anxiety as Rockan addressed his spies and hunters, his voice carrying every ounce of his authoritative, dominant personality. Though we all stood outside on the training grounds under the open sky, the atmosphere felt suffocating, thick with tension and barely contained violence. The black mask he always donned did little to hide his unrelenting hard gaze. The weight of his scrutiny made my skin crawl, knowing that one wrong move could expose everything.Kael had managed to survive for forty-eight crucial hours—more than enough time to provide detailed descriptions of Marcus' features to the sketch artist. Now, copies of Marcus' distinctive hair, peculiar eyes, and that damned mask of failed disguise were being distributed among my brother's ranks like the wanted posters the humans used to hunt down criminals. The spies situated in other packs received their copies as well, and I knew with sinking certainty that Marcus wouldn't stand a chance against
