(Oh My Gawd)

Axel’s POV

“Good morning Mr. Shaw, how are you” Mrs. Brown, a close friend to my mum and also a family friend asked

“I’m fine ma, and you?” I replied with a smile

“Oh trust me… I’m better than I used to be” She stated with a chuckle while I shake hands with her husband, Mr. Brown who is also one of the shareholders in the Hybrid Company.

“What about Axel….” Mrs. Brown asked, as I furrowed my brow

“I’m A-xel..” I noted, she gasp

“Oh my….you both can just try to create a mark on your body so that I can recognize you. Damn…the likeness is too much…so if you are Axel..then I can’t find Aiden around” She laughed, as we both laugh along with her

“Perhaps you are getting too old to recognize the twins” Mr. Brown teased her

“Shut up…I’m still a pretty sweet sixteen…I ain’t getting old..come on” She whine, while he chuckle. I only watch them argue with a smile on my face

“Aiden went for a shoot, he is out of the country” I replied her earlier question

“Oh…poor boy…it’s been a while I watched his movie…such a great actor he is….” She pouted, touching her chest. I nodded in affirmation

“You are missing it again darling…remember the movie we watch yesterday…Aiden featured in it” Mr. Brown whispered. She gasps

“Perhaps you are getting too ol….”

“If you dare complete that word, I’m gonna stump my heels on your face…. I’m not getting old…” She snapped at him, as he made a zipping sigh signaling that he won’t speak more. I chuckled briefly at his expression, while they continue to argue walking away simultaneously

“Oh..sorry dear…please send my regards to your mum…tell her I will be coming soon to eat her latest delicacies” She winked

“Now back to you h-u-s-band…” She gritted, dragging her husband’s hand as they move to greet other guest

“Ok ma” I replied, heaving a sigh. Mrs. Brown is just one hell of a character; she is in her late fifty, while her husband is in his early sixties. They love to tease each other and do lots of funny things that will make me wonder if they are actually becoming kids again.

“Wait a minute…is mum making a new delicacy” I asked myself, remembering her words about coming to eat my mum’s new delicacy. Perhaps she doesn’t know that I no longer stay in the mansion because of that bastard we call a father. How I wish mum should just leave that man and stay alone, it’s better than being hits and disgraced all the time. I’m suddenly beginning to miss her; her meals are what I miss more. Mum is a professional when it comes to preparing delicious meals

Right now, we are actually in a grand party held for the success of the contest. The winners will be given their prizes and contracts, while the others will just be given consolation prizes. I decide to look my best today; well I have always been looking my best. The contestants are yet to be here and I don’t know what’s keeping them. Well the party is yet to begin though, just some guest are arriving.

“Hey bro” Theo muttered into my ear, making me flinch

“What was that for” I asked, dipping my index finger into my ear hole

“Sorry” he winked. I rolled my eyes, tapping his shoulder

“You are looking dope today, who is the lucky lady” I teased. He rolled his eyes this time, puffin out air from his mouth

“What do you mean? I ain’t getting any girl soon” He replied

“Why….but there are pretty damsels among the contestant, you can pick one for yourself. Well, that’s if they are not taken. And apart from that, Cape Town got lots of pretty chicks with big boobs and butts” I winked. He laughed

“Don’t tell me your mind is still dirty, I thought Aiden was the only player, but dem, you are worst than he is”

“Whatever…”

“I only have one girl in mind….i can’t stop loving her” Theo stated sadly

“Brittany?” I asked. He nodded

“Fine…let’s keep hoping she comes back…and erm…I hope she isn’t taken too” I muttered, as he frown. I was tempted to laugh, though I shouldn’t have, but his expression wasn’t something to hold in

“Just get out….” He shrugs my hands off and left. I turned to leave only to bump into Sophia

“Oh….sorry” I apologize. She gave me one of those seductive smiles

“Hey it’s ok….you look good in your tuxedo” She commended my dressing

“Thanks….and you are looking dashing too” I muttered. She smiled more, and I can swear to have seen a blush sigh on her cheek

“Thanks…enjoy the party” She mumbled and left

“Phew…that was strange” I thought inwardly. Sophia will never leave me alone this way; she would have tried taunting me, or perhaps wants me to move round with her greeting other guest like we are couples or something. It is so strange to have seen her leave without all those. Well, let’s say she is changing to become a good girl.

Ariel’s POV

Just after taking my bath, I decided to prepare for the grand party which will be held in the company hall. I was about picking a dress when I heard a knock on the door.

I opened it only to find strange faces, but one of them looks familiar.

“Hi…” I shuttered

“Hi..Ariel…we were sent to dress you up for the party.” One of them spoke up; she is the one that looks familiar

“Oh….dress me up…how?..ermm…forgive my manners, please come in” I stated

“Aiden sent us to give you this dress and make up your hair…you know…he wants you to look your best at the party” She smiles

“I am a makeup artist and here is the hair stylist” She pointed to the other lady who returned my smile

“Ok…that’s so thoughtful of him…erm..if you say so then we can start now…I just finish taking my bath” I stated. They nodded and set out to work

Few minutes later they were through and I had to look at myself in the mirror to check out the wonders they had done on my face.

“Wow…” I blurted out unconsciously as they both chuckle. I didn’t get embarrassed this time, the amazement was taking control. I couldn’t believe the fact that my face was what I was seeing. I suddenly look like an angel

“This is perfect” I mumble, touching my face slightly

“You are so beautiful Ariel” The makeup artist commended

“Thanks” I replied shyly, getting up to pick the dress they brought, as a ‘wow’ escapes my lips. Aiden surely got a good taste. He knows what is good for his woman…wait did I just call myself his woman, I thought…

“Gosh Ariel..you are so wasted” I sigh

“No wonder Aiden pick interest in her…she is so cute” The stylist mouthed, as the former nodded.

“They will make a good couple..and I’m totally in support of it. She is so nice and lovely, unlike that b!tch..Sophia” The stylist grimaced. They kept on talking silently thinking I won’t hear them, but thanks to my sharp hearing ability.

The party was about to begin, Theo could be seen talking and laughing with a young girl, who he later find out to be Mara, Zach’s crazy sister. She has been on Zach’s neck since they arrived and leaving him to chat with Theo is kind of a relief for him

“I shouldn’t have come along with that girl, but she wouldn’t allow my spirit to rest in peace if I leave her at home” Zach complained to Nina who only smiled in return as they watch her laugh with Theo.

“What do you think they are talking about to make them laugh that way” he asked, furrowing his brow

“Perhaps, some classified secrets” Nina shrug

“Classified what?” He asked as his eyes met with Theo’s. Theo winked at him and whispered something back into Mara’s hearing making her laugh again

“Oh gosh…don’t tell me she is saying naughty things about me to….damn…”Zach groan

“Calm down babe…Theo will understand. Everyone knows Mara is on hell of a kid. He won’t take her seriously. 

After their brief talk, Mara left Theo to meet her brother, while Axel walks closer to stand beside him.

“What were you discussing with a kid that got you laughing that much” Axel asked

“Was it that obvious?”

“Yea..sure”

“Oh…never knew Zach’s sister is so funny. Wanna know a little secret” he asked. Axel shrug

“She was telling me about her brother”

“So…what about her brother…”

“I can’t tell….it’s a secret” Theo winked at him. Axel scoff

“But you just asked me if I wanna know a little secret and I said yes”

“Well I have told you about who we were discussing about, and not what the discussion is all about”

“F**k you guy” Axel made to punch him but he dodge it laughing

“You know….Sophia seems to be changing this days…did you notice” Axel asked

“No….. one can’t understand that b!tch…geez, did I say that out” Theo muttered, observing his surrounding to be sure that no one heard him saying that word

“No….well, I can’t really say, but she isn’t that clingy and she gives me my space this time”

“Huff….because she does that doesn’t mean she has change. She is damn secretive and might have a reason for what she is doing. Remember that the Triple band contest for leadership is coming up soon; she might want to get your favour and remain in the post. And that is if Ariel doesn’t beat her to it”

Axel frown

“What do you mean by if Ariel doesn’t beat her to it. Fine I know that Ariel is also good in singing and so on, but Sophia is more experienced”

“So are you choosing Sophia over Ariel? Remember the last contest will require a duo, and that is you and the leader of the triple girl’s band”

“I’m not choosing Sophia…in fact, I don’t wish her to go with me this time, and last time was a hell for me” Theo chuckled

“So you prefer Ariel” Theo grinned. Axel frown

“You are being sarcastic again…I preferring Ariel doesn’t mean the other way round, so don’t go there”

“Shut up bro, I know you won’t still admit it. I have been your friend for a long time even before that Dylan guy came into your life to take my place after I left. I know it when you are in love with someone, but just trying to cover up”

“Theo come on..i don’t…”

Just immediately, Ariel walk into the hall alongside Mia, Jack came in afterward. The other contestants were already present including the ones that were evicted.

“Oh my Gawd…” Axel gasps on seeing her, walking majestically to her seat. He was not the only one staring; others were busy whispering to one another, admiring her great look. Her flawless skin which was adorned with gold gave her a stunning beauty, alongside the beautiful dress and other accessories.

Mia was also looking stunning, the black dress she wore worth thousands of dollars. Jack wasn’t looking bad himself. The young singles in the hall were all gaping at him but his eyes were focused on Mia. She winked at him, making him blush as he was being caught unaware. That will be the first time she will be seeing him blush, and she felt happy about it.

“Now, that is what I’m talking about” Theo whispered into Axel’s hearing, as they took their seats. It became dawn on him that he had been staring for too long, and Theo is teasing him with it. He diverted his gaze to other guest who was coming in. Flora walked in with Karl and he was beginning to think this two have something going on under their sleeves. He decided to shrug it off; he knew the duo to be close friends when he was still dating Flora.

Michael and his crew in the Triple boy’s band also walked in. Their eyes met as Michael gave him a deadly glare. Axel rolled his eyes, not minding his reasons for doing that. He and Michael had never gotten along and will never. He noticed him staring lustful at Sophia

“Perhaps he got eyes for her too” He thought

Nicki walked in, looking lovely as always. She winked at Theo, blowing him k**ses, while he blush

“Are you blushing…like seriously” Axel asked. Theo gave him a glare which made him laugh again

“W-ait..wait..don’t tell me Nicki likes you..I mean, she just winked at you”

“Naa….she is just a crazy babe you know” Theo replied

“I won’t believe that…”

“Why”

“Because..the first day you arrive Cape Town, I caught the both of you making out in your lounge” Axel spurted. Theo rolled his eyes

“We weren’t making out, she only k**sed me that day..and I couldn’t resist her. You know…a welcome kiss” Theo grinned

“Huff..seriously…so you are saying she doesn’t like you…I mean having feelings for you” Axel scoffs

“No….”

“Ok” Axel shrug

The party commenced in full with the contestant being called on to receive their prizes and given their contract to go through before signing it. The hall was filled to the brim with men and women of caliber, looking amazingly dressed. Lots of food and drinks were available, as the servers do their best to meet everyone’s need in the hall

Axel’s eyes couldn’t leave Ariel for a sec. He kept staring at her, wondering how she suddenly became a goddess of beauty over night. He knew Ariel is a beautiful lady right from the time he saw her at the mall, when she confused him for Aiden. If he wasn’t still trying to get over Flora as at that time, he would have asked her out, without knowing that she had been taken by his brother; he even mistook her for a fan. He was so carried away admiring her beauty, as she caught him staring. He quickly looked away, feeling embarrass, not because she caught him staring, but because he was the first to look away. She would know that he had been staring and doesn’t want her to catch him at it.

“Why am I feeling this way…I shouldn’t have looked away” He thought to himself, wondering why he is fidgeting just because a girl caught him staring at her. She should be the one feeling this way that he is staring and not the other way round.

Ariel on the other hand smiled on seeing him. She knew he had been staring but doesn’t want to look at him to. Just a stare at him is sending shivers down her spine and she doesn’t want to make a fool out of herself.
