2. Jake Topher, gay?

Jake walked to the door. Looking at his assistant in front of him, without an expression to predict what he had in mind.

"Sir...?" Drew started with fear as he spoke, he knew he shouldn't be disturbing his boss."I...I just got information that a young woman seems to have come around......I did tell them to make this part of the hotel reserved till we leave tomorrow...so no one we didn't come with is supposed to be around this part but...but Evans just informed me that a woman had come up here using the stairs...and we are working on getting more information about her...she's of average height and....."

"Come in here." Jake cut him off, walking back inside the room.

"Sir...I am very sorry...I didn't want to disturb your sleep, but I had to inform you since we're in a new place like this, we need to be security conscious considering what happened the last time." Said Drew even though his boss didn't look like he was sleeping just now. He closed the door as he entered his boss' room.

The room was dark, and Drew began to Wonder why his boss didn't turn on the light. His boss hadn't replied, so he thought he should turn on the light, maybe he could depict an answer through his eyes, if they were angry or not, because he(Jake) rarely showed his facial expressions.

Turning on the light, Victoria squirmed while mumbling some words.

"Turn it off!" Jake whispered angrily as he saw her reaction to the lights.

"I'm sorry." Drew automatically said. He was shocked, extremely. There was a lady on the bed! on his boss' bed.

"Any dimmer light?"Jake asked as he sat on the sofa.

"No sir, sorry about that,"Drew replied still surprised because all the while he had worked with his boss, never had he seen him with a woman.

In the office Jake didn't want any female working directly with him, especially when it could involve a day-to-day contact, he was ok with business meetings because, after the day of the meeting, he(drew) would be the one managing it.

At the Topher mansion, it was the same, with no female workers. He didn't know why his boss didn't want to be around women, he couldn't ask him either. They were many rumours about the great CEO 'Jake Topher'. Some reporters usually wrote articles about points that could prove Jake was gay and often much, they went viral. Presently, many of the people in the city thought he was gay and that was why he didn't have women around him like other rich men. Drew was very sure he had once seen a show on tv, and its name was Jake Topher, gay?

"The girl..."Jake started"What were you saying about her?"

"Ummm... we're already got information about her, apparently she's Victoria Kings, from Plaintwood, a town of this state, she's also a model....and that's all we have for now sir, but the team's working on it, just to be sure she might be sent like before to harm you....." Drew stopped talking expecting Jake to say something, but all he said was "mmhmm".

"Sir, do I get you a new room for you?" He had to ask, seeing the pillow on the sofa.

"No, you can leave"

"Yes sir"

After Drew left, Jake looked at her again, though the lights were turned off, he could see her face. she didn't look dangerous, like someone sent to harm him. She just lay there, sleeping peacefully. He couldn't explain what he felt about her; he sighed.

Meanwhile, in the room downstairs, Amber walked out of the bathroom, drying her hair. She took her clothes which she wore to the event folded them into a ball, carelessly while humming a tune.

Picking up the phone, she dialed the hotel service, to come pick up the clothes for washing. Laying on the bed, tired, she stopped.

"Victoria!"She said to herself in a panicked whisper."no no no no no! Did she leave?" Amber started to wonder to herself. She looked at the clock on the bedside table it was 11:37 pm..she had to go look for her friend, but she still had a towel on, she checked the wardrobe on her left, and there were a few clothes there,'at least they're worth the money' She said considering that the hotel had thought about clothes service.

Taking out a sleeved top and one of the night trousers, she opened the door, not knowing which direction to go looking for her friend, who was dead drunk. She bumped into a woman.

"So sorry ma'am." The person apologized and she guessed that this was probably the one to take her clothes for cleaning. Amber made to go back in to get her the clothes, but then she paused.

"Do you perhaps know where the security control room is, I'm looking for someone, and seems like the best idea is to look at the cameras." She said impatiently to the cleaner, who smiled professionally at her.

"No, I don't, but you can ask the receptionist." The lady said pointing towards the entrance.

"Thanks," Amber said and shoved on her dirty clothes to the woman, before hurrying to the receptionist's table.

"Heyy."She said to the same young man, who had attended to her when she came in with Victoria earlier.

"How can I help you ma'am," He said smiling like before.

"You saw the lady I came in with? right?"

"Uhm__yes I did"

"I'm looking for her...did you see pass through the front? Can I visit your control room?" She rushed her words.

"I didn't see her ma'am..."

"Can I use your control room then?"

"Uhm... I'm sorry you can't."

"What do you mean I can't?"

"Ma'am I can't just..."

"I want to speak to your manager!"

"Ma'am I can ask the security to help you find her." He smiled more widely than he did before."yeah...I need someone to help find a missing lady who's probably somewhere around...I mean inside the hotel." He said looking at Amber while placing a call, like to tell her something.

"Ah....here he is." He said pointing to the man coming from behind her. She turned around.

"Evening ma'am." A man in a blue T-shirt greeted her and she sighed.

They had already searched through all the hallways of the premium hall but didn't find Victoria. Amber started towards the elevator that would lead to golden hall, but the security ran and stopped her just in time.

"Ma'am, I can't let you go up there"

"Why?"

"Someone booked the whole rooms."

"So? I need to find my friend, she could be in danger you know?"

"It's more like a private suite now ma'am, we were all given strict orders not to disturb the VIPs, so I can't let you go up there, and besides there's no way your friend would be there, I mean did you see the security that accompanied that man, real securities, with arms and stuff, unlike me, so there's no way she's there...."

"She's drunk, she could go anywhere"

"I will volunteer to help you find her, even if it cost the whole night, but up there I can't let you, don't want to lose my job."

"But we've checked everywhere!"

"We haven't checked outside." He said and Amber stopped and looked at him for a while, then at the elevator door, and she sighed.
