KADE

While Blair was out, I took the time to set everything up. I’d planned it earlier while we were still at school and this was meant to be a surprise.

The hotel staff knew who I was, so getting the special wine and the right glasses wasn’t a problem. I asked them to bring up a bottle and some strawberries. They didn’t ask any questions. One look at my last name, and people moved.

I ran the bath myself. It was hot, but not too much. And I added a few drops of essential oil, something soothing. The whole room now smelled like vanilla and I was pretty sure she’d love it.

By the time Blair walked back in, the wine was open, the bath was full, and I was already inside.

When she joined me, I poured her a glass and watched the way she tipped her head back to take a sip. Her dark brown hair spilled over her shoulders, framing her face. Blair never had to try, she was just effortlessly beautiful.

“Aww, that was harsh,” she said, wincing a little.

I laughed. The wine wasn’t even that s

  • In My Lycan Stepbrother’s Bed   Chapter 145: Please Don’t

BLAIR’S POV“Mum, you can’t do this.” I twisted in the back seat, pleading with her. “You can’t throw your daughter away like this!”She didn’t react. Her eyes remained on the road, the lines around her mouth were drawn tight, and her silence felt louder than anything she could have said. But then she spoke.“I’m not throwing you away, Blair,” she said. “In fact, in a few months, you’ll thank me for this.”“Thank you?” I choked out a scoff. “For what? For kidnapping me from my own home? And treating me like some kind of crazy person?”She glanced at me and then looked away. “Because right now, you are delusional,” she said. “You don’t see it because you’ve lost yourself. And I’m going to help you to find a way back.”I stared at her, stunned. Delusional. That’s what she thought of me? After everything. After what Drew did. After what Kade saved me from. After the hell we’d survived together. She thought I needed saving from him?“Where are we going?” I demanded, looking at the road.

  • In My Lycan Stepbrother’s Bed    Chapter 144: Blair Is Gone

KADE’S POVI groaned as my eyes blinked open, the light in the room slanted in through the curtains. The ache in my body made it hard to move, but I pushed myself upright anyway, biting down on the pain.“Fuck!” I hissed, groaning as I sat up.The clock on the wall read past seven. It was already night time. I must have been out for at least five hours. My whole body throbbed like someone had taken a bat to every inch of me, and honestly, that wasn’t far from the truth.I swung my legs over the edge of the bed and forced myself to get up, one hand gripping the bedpost for balance. My knee nearly gave out, and I cursed under my breath. The bruises and cracked ribs would take at least three days to start feeling manageable. That was if I even got the chance to rest.I limped to the door and twisted the handle, but I realized that it was locked. With a deep frown, I tried again, but the door wouldn’t budge. “Seriously?” I muttered, already getting pissed. So this was the plan? Just lea

  • In My Lycan Stepbrother’s Bed   Chapter 143: Confessions

BLAIR’S POVI turned to Kade slowly, barely able to believe what I’d just heard. Did he really just say he was in love with me? Out loud, in front of our parents? Right now? Even though he was barely able to stand, his eyes stayed locked on mine. I’d always known our parents would find out about us eventually, maybe sooner, maybe later, but I never expected Kade to choose this exact moment to say it.“I’m tired of hiding,” he said quietly, a small, almost shy smile touching his lips. “I’m tired of pretending like Blair isn’t my entire world.”My heart stopped for a second. I tried so hard to hold back the smile threatening to break free, but it slipped through anyway.Kade’s voice grew stronger. “I’m done lying to everyone, and to myself that you’re not the center of everything for me. I don’t care what anyone thinks. I don’t care what it costs me. I need to say it now.” He paused, and then breathed the words I never thought he would say in front of our parents. “I love Blair. I lov

  • In My Lycan Stepbrother’s Bed   Chapter 142: In Love With Blair

BLAIR’S POV“Blair!” my mom shouted, grabbing hold of me like I might disappear again. Her eyes were wide, scanning my face. “Kade is unconscious. Speak to me now!”I couldn’t meet her gaze. My hands were trembling so badly I had to clench them into fists just to keep them still.“What happened?” she demanded, her grip tightening around my arms. “King Carlton of the South just brought you two back in an unimaginable state. You’re supposed to be in school! What the hell happened?”“It wasn’t our fault,” I whispered, my voice thin and cracking. “Mom, I swear, we didn’t do anything wrong.”Tears streamed down my cheeks. And when I finally looked up at her, I saw the fear in her expression twist into something even worse—horror. Her lips trembled, and when she spoke again, her voice was softer. “Then talk to me,” she said. “You promised me you’d open up if something ever went wrong.”“I’m trying,” I sobbed, the words choking out of me. “I’m trying, but I don’t even know where to start.”T

  • In My Lycan Stepbrother’s Bed   Chapter 141: King Vs King

BLAIR’S POV“Kade, you’re going to be okay,” I whispered, my voice trembling as I tightened my grip on his hand. His body leaned heavily against mine, almost too heavy. It felt like he couldn’t hold himself up anymore. We were getting closer to Robert’s estate. The massive black gates loomed ahead, and as they creaked open, it felt like we were being swallowed whole. This was supposed to feel like home but all I felt was dread.Kade hadn’t said a word since they threw us into the car. He drifted in and out, barely conscious. Every now and then, his head would twitch or his lips would part, like he was trying to speak but nothing ever came out.The only sound was his breathing, shallow and pained.I looked up sharply when I sensed movement beside me.One of the guards sat across from us, his legs spread wide, his arms folded, watching me. That smug, leering expression hadn’t left his face since the moment we were forced inside. He made no effort to hide it like he wanted me to know exa

  • In My Lycan Stepbrother’s Bed   Chapter 140: Good Father, Huh?

KADE’S POVThe look on Blair’s face burned itself into my memory. Seeing her panic when she called my name, it hurt worse than anything. I had failed her. I was supposed to protect her. That was my only job. And here I was, on my knees, helpless.“Blair…” I tried to say again, barely managing her name before another punch smashed into my face. My head jerked to the side, and I spat out blood, teeth clenched against the sharp pain in my skull.Even through the blur, I heard Blair screaming, begging them to stop. Her voice cracked with fear, and it made my heart ache. I forced my head up, just to catch a glimpse of her face. She was struggling against the guards. She kept calling my name, checking if I was still alive, but I was barely able to respond.Carlton stood over us like a cruel god punishing his prey. He ordered one of the guards to keep hitting me. The next kick slammed into my ribs, stealing the air from my lungs. I gasped, trying to catch my breath, but before I could recove
