BLAIR’S POV

“What did you say?”

King Carlton’s voice was cold and he turned his head slowly, looking between me and Tucker. I didn’t say anything. My fists were already clenched by my sides as I stared down at Tucker.

What an idiot.

“She stabbed me,” Tucker repeated. “She stabbed my eyes.”

He looked up and met my gaze. Well, I didn’t look away. I wanted him to see every drop of the hatred I felt for him. I suddenly wished I poked him in the other eye. I wouldn’t be sorry if he went blind.

King Carlton’s eyes narrowed. “And how did that happen?” He asked Tucker. “How did you get stabbed in the eye?”

Tucker hesitated for a second, then went on a full ramble.

“I confronted her,” he began, puffing up like he was proud of the story he was about to tell. “About Drew’s disappearance. She immediately got defensive and angry. Next thing I know, she stabbed my eye. I didn’t even see it coming.”

I almost laughed.

King Carlton’s brow furrowed and he glanced at me. “You confronted her… about my

Blair’s POVMy head was aching. I leaned back against the cold seat and shut my eyes, but that didn’t help. The pressure behind my body and thoughts made everything feel heavier. I was so tired of crying, but my heart still felt heavy and the tears were threatening to start again. I refused to let it.“How much longer?” I asked, wiping my face with the back of my hand. One of the guards shifted awkwardly in his seat before answering. “Almost there.”He looked away after he said it, like he just couldn’t handle what he saw on my face. I didn’t care either way. None of them wanted to face me. They knew what they were doing wasn’t right. But I didn’t blame them. They were just following orders.I blamed my mother. She was the one person who should have stood up for me. But she didn’t even say goodbye. She just handed me over, shipping me off to some relative I haven’t met before. I was being sent to my great-aunt. This was someone I’ve never seen. All I’ve heard were just stories and

KADE’S POV“Redmoon Pack,” I kept saying the name under my breath, eyes scanning the departure board again with my hands clasped behind me.“Ironman pack and then Greenwood pack.” Those were the destinations of the three trains that had departed within the last two hours.Blair had to be on one of them. But question was, which one? I ran my hand through my hair, trying to make a wild guess.“Shit! She could be in anyone!” I exclaimed. Her mother wasn’t going to tell me anything. I already knew that. She had made it clear that she would rather watch me lose my mind than make me get close to her daughter ever again. And thanks to my father, I didn’t have access to their private online registry anymore either. They’d locked me out the second I started acting against them. So now I was standing here, stuck between three names and no answers.Redmoon Pack was the most isolated. It was far into the northern forests, away from any major cities. The kind of place you sent someone when you di

KADE’S POVDriving, I kept staring at the speedometer which was climbing with each second. My foot remained on the gas pedal, but it still felt like I wasn’t moving fast enough. I weaved through the streets, glancing at the rear view mirror every second. Every red light and slow driver made me mad. “Move, damn it!” I yelled, leaning out the window, blasting my horn at a line of cars that seemed to be crawling on the road.“Hey, watch it!” A truck driver yelled at me but I ignored him. “Are you blind?” A woman called out from her window but I didn’t care about these angry drivers at this point. I wasn’t even sure if I was heading to the right place. But I knew my father. He wouldn’t risk airports, especially with Blair’s status and the attention she would bring if she caused a scene. A car wouldn’t take her far fast enough. Which left the train. That would make more sense. His name was all over that station. He sponsored the station and kept it running so it was easy for people to

  • In My Lycan Stepbrother’s Bed   Chapter 145: Please Don’t

BLAIR’S POV“Mum, you can’t do this.” I twisted in the back seat, pleading with her. “You can’t throw your daughter away like this!”She didn’t react. Her eyes remained on the road, the lines around her mouth were drawn tight, and her silence felt louder than anything she could have said. But then she spoke.“I’m not throwing you away, Blair,” she said. “In fact, in a few months, you’ll thank me for this.”“Thank you?” I choked out a scoff. “For what? For kidnapping me from my own home? And treating me like some kind of crazy person?”She glanced at me and then looked away. “Because right now, you are delusional,” she said. “You don’t see it because you’ve lost yourself. And I’m going to help you to find a way back.”I stared at her, stunned. Delusional. That’s what she thought of me? After everything. After what Drew did. After what Kade saved me from. After the hell we’d survived together. She thought I needed saving from him?“Where are we going?” I demanded, looking at the road.

  • In My Lycan Stepbrother’s Bed    Chapter 144: Blair Is Gone

KADE’S POVI groaned as my eyes blinked open, the light in the room slanted in through the curtains. The ache in my body made it hard to move, but I pushed myself upright anyway, biting down on the pain.“Fuck!” I hissed, groaning as I sat up.The clock on the wall read past seven. It was already night time. I must have been out for at least five hours. My whole body throbbed like someone had taken a bat to every inch of me, and honestly, that wasn’t far from the truth.I swung my legs over the edge of the bed and forced myself to get up, one hand gripping the bedpost for balance. My knee nearly gave out, and I cursed under my breath. The bruises and cracked ribs would take at least three days to start feeling manageable. That was if I even got the chance to rest.I limped to the door and twisted the handle, but I realized that it was locked. With a deep frown, I tried again, but the door wouldn’t budge. “Seriously?” I muttered, already getting pissed. So this was the plan? Just lea

  • In My Lycan Stepbrother’s Bed   Chapter 143: Confessions

BLAIR’S POVI turned to Kade slowly, barely able to believe what I’d just heard. Did he really just say he was in love with me? Out loud, in front of our parents? Right now? Even though he was barely able to stand, his eyes stayed locked on mine. I’d always known our parents would find out about us eventually, maybe sooner, maybe later, but I never expected Kade to choose this exact moment to say it.“I’m tired of hiding,” he said quietly, a small, almost shy smile touching his lips. “I’m tired of pretending like Blair isn’t my entire world.”My heart stopped for a second. I tried so hard to hold back the smile threatening to break free, but it slipped through anyway.Kade’s voice grew stronger. “I’m done lying to everyone, and to myself that you’re not the center of everything for me. I don’t care what anyone thinks. I don’t care what it costs me. I need to say it now.” He paused, and then breathed the words I never thought he would say in front of our parents. “I love Blair. I lov
