CHAPTER EIGHTEEN
Liam stepped out of his house expecting to meet Brian standing by the car waiting for him. Instead, he met Brian alongside Jasmine smiling.
"Jas," he called out as he walked towards her. "What are you doing here?"
"Isn't it obvious?" she asked, getting into the car. "I'm here to get a free ride to school."
Liam shook his head, smiled and joined Jas at the back seat. "You were literally here yesterday."
"How are you?" she asked in a voice lower than normal as Brian turned the car on.
"Fine," Liam replied, adjusting his backpack. He knew what she meant so he didn't bother uselessly beat around the bush. "We spoke yesterday." On the phone till past midnight.
