CHAPTER THIRTY-ONE

  It was a regular Wednesday with Liam, Steve and Jasmine spending most of their school hours together. They had most classes together and even spent their recess together. It was finally closing hours and Liam and Nick were walking down the hallways.

"So, are we going home directly?"

"Yes," Liam eyed Steve suspiciously.

"My place or your place?"

"Why do you still bother to ask?" Liam shook his head. "My place. To drop me."

"Is your mum going to be home today too?" Steve asked. "I wouldn't mind delicious lunch today too."

"No," Liam smiled mischievously. "Too bad but she won't be home. So take your hungry self somewhere else."

"Ouch," Steve dramatically clutched his chest. "It's fine though. I'm hurt but it's fine."

Liam stuck his tongue out.

"Remind me why we're heading this way?"
