Chapter 8

Elle and her parents were currently stting in the dinning room and it was really awkward, no one talked to the other person neither was anyone eating.

Elle sighed and rubbed her forehead, she really didn't have the time for all this. She wasn't able to sleep last night cause of the repeating nightmares and right now, she just wants to go back to her room and finish reading the book, she picked up her spoon and started eating.

"where are your manners young girl?" Her father asked her the time she was about to put her fifth spoon in her mouth, she angrily slammed the spoon on the dinning table

"I guess they went on a vacation" she replied and left the dinning room. Anna looked at her daughter's retreating figure and back at her husband, she doesn't want her family shattering right now "why don't you just talk to her quietly Anthony"

Anthony swiftly turned his head towards his wife and raised one of his eyebrows up, not sure he heard her right "What did you just say Anna?" She flinched when she heard the anger in his voice as he spoke.

She swallowed hard before repeating what she said "I said why don't you just talk to her?" Her eyes filled with her fear as she spoke, he looked her and chuckled before his face morphed into that of anger.

"Listen to me, by the time I get back to this house you better make sure she's been called to order" He said to her in a very low and angry tone and  Anna just nodded her head in fear.

"Good" he said and patted her head before he left. Immediately he left Anna grabbed her head with her two hands, she has managed to conceal this side of him for many years thanks to Elle's corporation but now everything is falling apart.

Elle curled up in the floor she has been sitting on, 10 years ago she became the "perfect" daughter after she witnessed what her father can do and right now it's as if the universe is replaying the scene again for her to see.

She sat on the floor for a few more minutes before she stood up and went into her room, when she got in she picked up the book and opened up to the place she stopped, she immediately felt her body relaxing and she believed the book brings her peace.

"Do you think the plan will work?" Argus, one of the armed men asked after everyone dispersed.

A sword was placed on his neck the moment he asked the question, "Are you doubting him after the time it took to make the plan"

6 MONTHS EARLIER

Archan stood at the market square looking at all the creatures that were selling and buying with humans, he felt disgusted at the sight. He believed that all those other creatures are freaks and shouldn't be allowed to exist.

He rolled his eyes and looked away from them but his eyes met something that he found more disgusting, a human and a halfling kissing. He immediately felt the urge to throw up, he just couldn't understand how other humans can stand those creatures "if only I can do something about this abomination" he muttered to himself as he made to leave the square but his eyes caught something 

A human man was also staring at the two people that were kissing, he clenched and unclenched his fists as he glared at them both with so much intensity. An idea quickly popped up in Archan's mind and he smirked walking over to the man.

"Hey man" he greeted the man with a little tap on his shoulder

"I'm not interested in whatever you are selling" the man replied immediately in a rude manner, his eyes not leaving the kissing couple. Archan smirked to himself again before he cleared his voice and whispered in the man's ear "Don't you want to kill him!"

The man immediately turned towards him; his eyes darting round Archan's face with creased eyebrows, Archan just raised an eyebrow at him it"Am I not right?" He asked, a cunning smile on his face

"And who are you?" The man asked trying to make sure he isn't one of the officers that work for the ACAO (All Creatures Are One)

"Someone with the same intentions as you with a plan to back it up but if you aren't interested I might be on my way then" Archan said and turned to walk away but the man stopped him and that was how he was able to recruit over a hundred men and women

"They didn't do anything to you, you monster!" Elle cursed at the book as she turned over the next page to continue reading the book

Meanwhile everyone that ran away from the selection arena quickly ran to their homes, except 5 Children that ran up to a particular spot

When they all saw each other they quickly did a group hug before they sat down "I'm sacred by everything that's happening right now and I'm disgusted by the fact that it's my specie that's causing this" Amanda said in a voice thick with emotions as tears rolled down her face , the others quickly hugged her in a very comforting manner

"I'm sorry guys, you people are in danger and I'm here crying about my disgusting specie" she apologized as she wiped her tears and they all just patted her back

"What will happen to us now?" Aiden asked in a very tiny and scared voice, he has always been the softest in the group

"Well one thing is for sure, we either die or become slaves. There's no way out" Rus said, he already weighed the options in his mind there's no way out

"Let's not die guys, let's make a promise that we'll not die no matter what happens. Let's stay alive" Aiden pleaded, staring at them with glossy eyes, they all nodded and linked their pinky fingers together promising each other to return safely

After that a painful silence settled in and they just kind of looked into the void each person questioning their fate in their mind.

"You know instead of sitting here and wallowing in self pity when you already know your fate, why not have fun and enjoy your last moments with each other?" The children jumped up when they heard the sudden voice, each taking a fighting stance.

"And who are you?" Mamock asked while looking at him skeptically, 

"Hi, I'm Ansel"
