I lifted my gaze to that of Wesley's who just walked into my office. "Hey."

"Staying up late again? It's already past four in the morning, Laurel. You should go home."

"Home?" I snorted. "I don't have a home. I only have a house."

"You had a home before Kurt. And even now, you still have a home. So I suggest you go home and take a break from all these before you kill yourself by working too much."

"At least, that one's better. So much better than learning you have a daughter you didn't even know you had. You know, I still can't believe it. I had twins. Twins. Like how on earth could that be possible?"

He pulled out a chair in front of me and plopped down it. "When are the DNA results coming out?"

"Tomorrow."

"And if it comes out positive?"

"Then... I'll do what I have to do."

"Which is?"

"I'm filing for an annulment."

"Laurel!"

I stood up from my chair and strayed further to the window. "Wesley please. I'm afraid that's the only future left for us."
