**Sandra's POV**

I insisted that I was okay in Hannah's room, but both she and her father were adamant that I had to share a room with Tyler.

“Thanks for letting me stay,” I said to Hannah as soon as we were alone.

“It’s no problem! You’ll be my stepmother one day,” she replied with a grin.

“Let’s not get ahead of ourselves,” I chuckled, trying to downplay her enthusiasm.

“One day you’ll understand what I mean, and I can’t wait for that day because we have so much to do together,” she said excitedly.

I didn’t quite understand what she was getting at, but I kept quiet. “Now that I’m here, I hope you’ll introduce me to your boyfriend. You didn’t tell me about him,” I nudged.

“Stop blaming me! I’m not the one who went away and forgot to call,” she shot back playfully.

“At least we’re back together—best friends forever!” I assured her.

“Of course! Tonight will be great,” she said, her excitement infectious.

“It will. I want to go lie down and rest for a while,” I said, feeling a bit drai

    Sandra's pov…. "Goodness, you're awake already." Hannah exclaimed as she helped me sit up on the bed. A banging headache suddenly hit me so hard and I groaned in pain. "Are you okay? She couldn't even come out because she was damn scared of Tyler, he looked so scared in his angry state. Riley stiffened when she saw Ethan soaked in his own blood with serious injuries all over her body. The injuries were worse this time. "Oh my goodness!!!" Riley gasped as she knelt beside him. "Ethan! Ethan!! Ethan!!!!" She screamed out his name but got no reply. She placed two of her fingers at the side of his neck to check if he was still breathing.
