He had that feeling again. The one he got whenever he decided to map out some that had the syndicate’s thumbprints all over it. A feeling that told him that at any moment, shit was going to hit the fan. It was times like this that he wished he didn't decide to take on these missions alone. That he had roped in James on the situation.

He had the aim of a pro sniper. Callum never met a better shot outside of the army than James. He was so good that he might even give Callum a run for his money. But having a bullseye when you're outmanned and outgunned on a port's roof in the middle of the night was kinda wide off the mark.

But that position, in the icy darkness, made him think about what he left at home, or rather who. It has been days since he really saw her, which was so funny because they were only paces apart.
