They got to the room.
""Here is ma'am Anna's room."" She said and left.
He sighed and knocked on her door.
There was no response. He knocked again but still there was no response.
He opened the door a little and peeped. There was no one in the room.
""Should I go in?"" He asked himself.
He opened the door and entered the room.
No one seemed to be around the room. He looked around and chuckled. This lady had a thing for fashion.
It was an all pink room. The walls were painted in pink, the furniture were pink, the bedspread and pillows matched with the walls and furniture. It had a lot of frills and bows
There was a canopy bed with pink tulle draping down and a canopy of white voile. The light fixtures were frilly and pink, and even the light bulbs were pink-tinted!
A fluffy white rug, lay in the centre. There were some ornate mirrors, and a walk in closet.
The sound of steps jolted him out of his reverie. He turned around and saw the redhead, Ralph leaned at the door post, staring at him.
Kelvin blinked and gulped down nervously. This redhead always made him nervous.
He quickly bent his head, "Good morning sir." He said politely.
Ralph didn't respond, he walked into the room and looked at him closely.
""What is your name?"" He asked.
""It's Kelvin sir."" He replied.
""Kelvin."" He called.
""Yes sir?""
Ralph nodded and took a few steps backwards.
"Are you married?"" Ralph asked keenly.
Kelvin creased his brows, confused.
""No sir, I do not even have a girlfriend."" He twisted his lips.
He nodded and sighed.
""Do you plan on getting one?""
Kelvin raised his head and looked at him, why was this guy asking him a lot of questions?
He frowned, ""No sir. I do not need one yet.""
Ralph exhaled and nodded, ""Okay.""
""What do you want sir?"" He squinted his eyes.
Ralph looked at him with unseeing eyes.
""More than you can ever imagine."" His darkened eyes softened.
He arched his brow, ""I don't get you sir.""
Ralph sighed deeply and thinned his lips.
Kelvin was losing his patience but he was trying to keep his cool.
""I like you."" He dropped the bombshell.
Kelvin blinked his eyes and pushed his head backwards. This was too funny to be true.
""Sir?"" Kelvin raised his brows.
""I said I like you."" He repeated.
Kelvin widened his eyes in shock, was this man gay?
""Sir, what are you saying? I am confused."" He gulped.
""You know what I am talking about."" Ralph said firmly.
""I am sorry sir but I am not.""
Ralph cut him short, ""You don't have to think that way. I mean, there is nothing wrong in it, huh?""
""Uh, I don't know if it is wrong but I can not do this, I was not brought up this way."" He shook his head.
""Forget all those morals of a thing, they don't matter anymore."" He rolled his eyes.
Kelvin was too perplexed to say anything, anymore. He just gaped at Ralph who didn't seem to look bothered.
""What do you want from me?"" Kelvin asked.
""Be my partner."" He said simply.
Kelvin gasped loudly in shock, this was too outright!
""You want me to be in a relationship with you?"" He gaped.
""Yes."" Was the reply.
""This is unbelievable!"" Kelvin almost yelled.
""Lower your voice, you are not doing yourself any good by yelling. Ralph sighed.
""I'm sorry sir but I can't grant this request of yours. It is too demanding."" He shook his head.
Ralph battered his lashes, ""Please Kelvin, do not do this."" He pleaded.
""I am so sorry but it is a no. You can definitely find some others out there but not me."" He gave a firm reply.
Ralph was hurt by his words, he took some steps forward but Kelvin stepped backwards.
""Kelvin please you have to understand that I.""
Kelvin interrupted him, ""Please sir, I can not do this, I just can not do it." He bent his head.
""I promise to give you anything you want, anything, if you just grant this simple request of mine. I love you Kelvin.""
Kelvin was perplexed, ""What?"" He arched his brows.
""I love you, so much."" He repeated.
Kelvin held his head trying to process everything that he just heard. Love? This man loved him?
""Sir, you know this is ridiculous. What are you even saying?"" He frowned.
""Kelvin, I can promise you that what I have for you is genuine, you're so, different."" His eyes were dreamy.
""What makes you think so?"" Kelvin said tiredly.
""I know you're different, I can feel it. I know it."" He nodded.
Kelvin felt weak at his knees.
""This."" He held his head and sat on the ground as his legs could no longer carry his weight.
Ralph walked up to him and sat besides him.
""Why do you not get my point? Kelvin there is nothing wrong with loving a man like myself."" Ralph tried to prove his point.
Kelvin looked at him and frowned, when his Grandmother was still alive, she would tell him to desist from men like this because they were only out to destroy lives.
""What if it is actually wrong?"' Kelvin was confused, who was he to believe? This man or his Grandmother?
""I give you my word when I say I know there is nothing wrong in this."" He smiled a little.
Kelvin sucked his teeth, ""So, you mean if I become your partner, it is completely normal?"" He furrowed his brows.
Ralph nodded, a glint of hope in his eyes.
Kelvin looked away, ""I do not know. All this is hard to take in.""
Ralph stood up and nodded, ""Why don't you think about it?"" He suggested.
Kelvin looked at him and sighed.
Ralph walked to the door and turned back to look at him, ""I'll be waiting for your reply."" He said and left.
Kelvin heaved heavily, he palmed his head again. He was trembling from head to toe.
""What are you doing by my bed?"" A voice jolted him.
He quickly stood up.
""I'm sorry sir."" He bent his head.
""Do I look like a male to you?"" The voice came again.
He raised his head and raised his brows. It was a lady.
""It must be ma'am Anna."" He thought.
""I'm so sorry, Miss."" He apologised.
She entered the room and looked at him.
""What were you doing at the foot of my bed? Do you think this is your room where you walk about any how? And who are you?"" She bombarded him with a lot of questions.
""I'm Kelvin, ma'am."" He said politely.
""What do you want?"" She frowned.
""I applied for the position of a personal assistant.""
She eyed him and sighed.
""Personal assistant."" She muttered under her breath.
Kelvin was taken aback by her attitude, she was rude. He rolled his eyes, what else was he expecting?
He just hoped this would go well for him.
Kelvin led Anna into their parlor, "Here we are," he laughed nervously, "I know it is not the size of your room, but it is home," He held her hand leading her into the living room. Anna felt sparks when his skin brushed against hers, "Oh," she only let out a sigh. Jacky cleaned one of the sofas for her to sit on it, "Here, sit down," he grinned at her. Anna laughed softly, "Thank you Jacky," she sat down. "Let me get you a bottle of water," he swallowed hard, then rushed out of the door to get her water. Jacky edged closer to her on the sofa, "I think he likes you." Anna tilted her head to look at him, "What do you mean?" Jacky gave her a knowing smile, "I am just saying. Do you not notice the way he wants to eagerly please you?" Anna didn't know why, but there was this fluttering feeling in her heart, her cheeks heated, she was blushing furiously. "What is the matter?" He asked. She shook her head, "It is nothing," she cleared her throat, "Jacky, could you please h

Anna wrapped her hands around Kelvin's shoulder, "Hey, stop beating yourself about it. We will definitely find him," she patted his shoulder. His phone rung. He immediately whipped it out, it was an unknown number. "Hello?""Hello? Kev? Can you hear me?"His heart skipped several beats, "Jacky is that you?" He rose to his feet. "Yes," Jacky's shrill voice responded.Anna also stood up with him, her eyes widening."Hello, Jacky, where are you? Can you describe it?""I- don't know where this place is, I have not been here before, and.." "Try asking around, just try asking around, someone should tell you." There was silence for a while, "Hello? Jacky?""I'm trying to ask someone, hold on," his shaky voice added.Kelvin tapped his right foot on the ground, his heart skipping several beats. Anna came to hold his shoulder, "Is it him?" Kelvin glanced at her, nodding his head frantically. "I am in Fort Worth." Kelvin's jaws dropped, "What? Fort Worth? You are not in
Evelyn had been in hiding for a few days, for the fear that the police might be after her. She didn't want to go to jail, she was just nineteen! She sat on her couch, her legs crossed, drinking a soda, watching TV. Suddenly, she heard the doorbell ring. Her brows creased into a frown. She had stopped all her friends from coming to see her, who could this be? It rang again, and her heart skipped several beats. Was it the police? She began to shiver, "Oh my God," she shakily got to her feet, "Maybe it is the police," her heart thumped. The doorbell rang again for the third time, but still she didn't open the door. "Hello? Anyone in there?" She heard a rough male's voice from outside."If there's anyone in there, I'm advising you to open the door, else we will break open the door!" Then she knew it was more serious than it really appeared to be. She knew she had to hide or else it would be terrible for her. "We're coming in now," she heard a female voice.Seeing they mi
He finally let go of Kelvin, spinning around to look at Anna, "Why are you saying this? To protect him?" She shook her head, "Not at all, I was the one who did it, please leave him alone." He stood there his mouth, agape, "You want to kill your brother because of this boy? Is that it?" "No father, it was Ralph's fault, he tried assaulting him, and k had no other choice but to do what I did."He was disappointed in his daughter. He tilted his head to look at Kelvin, who had hung his head. "You will not be the reason this house falls apart boy," he pointed fingers at him, "I'll be watching you, be careful," he turned on his heels, storming out of the living room. Anna ran to hold Kelvin's hand, "Did he hurt you?" She tried to search for any bruise on his face, and arms. He slowly refused her hands, backing away from her , "I.. have to go Miss," he turned on his heels, dragging himself to the door. "Where are you going to?" She raised her brows."To probably find my brot
