Roland’s POV

“Sit down,” I said, seeing Gina all worked up. I smiled slightly. “Take your seat first. I will explain everything to you.”

Gina walked over and sat down. I sat opposite her.

I had started making plans since the day Betty came to my apartment and told me that Emily said Gina tried to seduce her boyfriend.

I realized then that it might be hard to get evidence to prove Gina’s innocence, so I decided to set up a situation instead. I discussed my plan with Betty.

Emily’s POVI felt quite humiliated having to apologize to Gina. The most annoying part was that her mother wanted me to give a public apology.“In her dreams,” I muttered as I got into a cab and headed straight to Ethan’s apartment.I shut the door hard.“Where to?” the driver asked.“Just drive,” I said, not in the mood to explain.“Ma…” the driver did not start the car. He turned to look at me.I suddenly realized he was not a private driver.“Prime View Estate,” I said, giving Ethan’s address. I leaned back in my seat and quickly took out my phone.Ethan had advised me to stay off social media for now, but I couldn’t. I wanted to know what was going on.My fingers moved quickly as I opened social media. The moment the page loaded, my heart dropped.Things had gotten worse.Much worse. The video of me taking the song… had been verified as real.Mum had shouted that it was fake the previous day, so Mr. Williams had released it for the public to verify.Since morning, confirmation th

  • Innocent scandal with Mr PR    124 Will

Narrator’s POV The next morning came quickly. Grace and Gina arrived at the law firm in a taxi at 8:55 a.m. The building was tall and quiet, giving off a serious atmosphere. Grace stepped out first. She wore simple clothes, but her posture was calm and confident. Gina followed beside her. Not long after, Emily’s family car arrived. Gabriel stepped out with a dark expression. Winter and Emily followed behind him. Emily wore sunglasses, trying to hide her face. The scandal online was getting worse. If not for the fact that the family mansion was in a reserved area, reporters would have already crowded outside. The two groups walked into the building together. None of them spoke. A receptionist welcomed them with a smile. After checking their appointment, she led the way. “This way, please.” They were taken into a large meeting room. A man in his fifties was already seated inside. “Good morning, Mrs. Greenwood, Mr. Greenwood,” he said politely as he stood up. “Miss Greenwood,” h

  • Innocent scandal with Mr PR    123 The truth

Narrator’s POV Winter and Emily were still in shock after leaving Gina’s house. The truth had hit them hard—the mansion they had been living in was not even theirs. All these years, they had been looking down on Gina and her mother, not knowing they were living under their roof. Neither of them spoke as they walked out. Ethan followed behind them quietly. His mind was filled with questions. He wanted to ask what was really going on, but he chose to stay silent. When the group got to the car, he decided not to follow them. “I’ll just take a cab,” he said calmly. Emily nodded and followed her parents into the car. She wanted to find out what was going on. Ethan watched them leave. He had never expected to witness such a scene. Inside the car, his eyes darkened slightly. In truth, he had approached Gina to get Emily’s attention, but that did not mean she had not grown on him during their time together. It was just that he had always looked down on her. He was from the Cole fam

Gina’s POV I was shocked hearing Mum’s explanation. Indeed, when Dad died, we already had a house. I wondered why she had sold it and made us move in with my uncle. Although Uncle's house was large living in someone else roof was never as comfortable. “You… your house was just a small one. No matter how much it sold for, it could not buy a mansion,” Aunty Winter argued, although I noticed she lacked confidence. Our house may not have been a mansion, but it was located in one of the prime areas of the city. “Indeed, it was not enough. But you seem to forget that my husband’s death was caused by an error in the lab—it was a work accident. Tell me, how much do you think his compensation was?” Mum asked. Aunty Winter lowered her head. “Even if you paid off the debt, the house is still under Dad’s name,” Emily argued. I guess she refused to accept she was the one living in my house. Mum laughed. “Why should I help him pay off his debt? I only purchased the house from the bank after i

Gina’s POV Hearing my uncle’s words, Mum and I looked at each other and burst into laughter. It was the funniest thing we had heard. Did he think he was talking to teenagers he could command? “Gabriel, it seems your memory needs to be checked,” Mum said. Her voice was cold, and even though she was not speaking to me, I felt a chill. I noticed my uncle lower his head. Aunty Winter, of course, would not let it go. She always felt that my uncle had been controlled by my father when he was alive, and after he died, he had been forced to take on our responsibility. “Oh, what a scene! Grace, my husband has been nothing but good to you since your husband’s death. You moved in with us. He took care of your medical fees, your daughter’s school fees—everything you have used all these years was provided by him. Even if your husband was the one who sent him to college, he has done more than enough. Even if you are not grateful, you and your daughter cannot stab him in the back.” Her t

Gina’s POV I did not expect that I had really been a fool the entire time I was dating Ethan. He approached me for a secret relationship just to get Emily’s attention. Then why didn’t he break up after the two of them got together? When did they even get together? Now, hearing Aunty Winter’s words, I started wondering how long I had been dating myself. “That is great. So you knew about your daughter’s secret relationship for three years?” I asked. My voice came out a bit louder than I wanted. Emily looked at me with a smug smile. I was sure she thought I was hurting just hearing the news. Indeed, I was angry—but at myself for being too foolish to see all the signs. “Back then, I even begged him a few times to meet my mum. Even when we coincidentally met at the hospital, he refused. But he met Emily’s parents.” “Not the whole three years, but we found out sometime after they had been together for two years,” Aunty Winter answered. I felt my throat go dry hearing those words. So
