CHAPTER 17

“Are you ok, Alpha?”

Zachary blinked and looked at Summer. He didn’t noticed that the man already invaded his office. He cleared his throat and pretend to scan the papers on his table.

“Don’t you have a hand to knock?” he said without looking at Summer.

“I actually knock several times, Alpha.” 

Zachary hid his embarrassment. He had called Summer to his office to have him report the daily count of rogues attacking them. He didn’t mean to daydream.  Zachary sighed.

“I think you need a break.” Summer stated.

He brushed off his hair and rest his back on his seat. “No.” he declared. “Report for duty, beta.” he commanded.

“Aye, sir.”  Summer was hesitant but he had no choice but to obey. He was worried about their Alpha for it has been working non-stop since Sierra, his mate, left.
