Chapter 41: The Alpha’s Mark

Andrius escorted the alpha along with Shahida to the mansion. Isadora waited for them at the entrance and prepared them chamomile tea she brought from Fortluck. But, all of them refused to take the tea as Apollo headed to his room without looking back.

Neither of the three spoke and silence swept over. When Andrius told them to rest for the night, they all nodded in unison. But Andrius’ voice didn’t let Elias escape from its bitterness.

Meanwhile, Elias felt something in his body ached. He doesn’t know where is it exactly but it’s excruciating enough. He sat on his bed, tilting his head to his bedside table, looking for the clock. It’s past midnight.

The surrounding is silent, even the crickets didn’t make any noise.

“How are you feeling?”

Elias caught his breathe jolt. He roamed his eyes around to see who the man was. He was leaning at the door, studying him as he sat up. He tried standing up away from the bed but he tripped as the ache he felt worse
