Faye's Point of View.
Damion's cold temperature makes me worried sick. At the same time, it makes me think of multiple questions. The fact that he wanted to hide when he was about to wolf out is enough for me to wonder.
His eyes are burning red, and his fangs, claws, and fur are starting to grow. I feel so scared. Nonconsciously, I stepped a little backward, showing an initial sign of fear. Despite how hard I tried to hide my fear so he won't feel so different about himself, my gestures failed to recognize my thoughts. It's like it has its own life.
"Go outside," says Damion, looking away. He's hugging himself, shivering with cold. I can't afford to see him like this. Having two options is a privilege, but I'm turning it down.
I fought my fear and went near him. Although there's a part of me that doesn't like it, I still hugged him. Damion struggled to get away- to push me away... but I'm not letting him. I let him struggle to fight my embrace until he gets tired and submits himself to me. There's a ninety-nine percent this wouldn't work and he would succeed. I was glad he didn't.
Through the hug that he chose to feel, I felt that this little werewolf needed someone to hold onto. I just remembered, he's an outcast in my father's pack. To Dad and Mom, Damion is just the hunter leader to hunt me, the Beta of Sombermane Band Pack- who initially wishes to kill me. There's no one in this household that cares for Damion, but me. I'm his life mate after all.
Damion successfully turned into a wolf. His body temperature dropped to normal. Unlike a while ago, he's not afraid anymore. Slowly, he disengages from my hug, awkwardly looking away.
"You shouldn't have done that," he says, breaking the ice.
I examined his facial expression if he really doesn't like it. I don't know if I'm just being a narcissist, but he smiled a little. His lips curved, and I know what I saw!
"There's a need to do that to see you steal a smile," I responded, smiling.
With what I said, Damion looked at me shyly, hoping he could still get away from it by denying it through facial expression. But I already laugh and he was carried away by it.
Oh god, how could he smile so beautifully even after wolfing out? His furs, claws, body, facial expression, everything... he feels so new, but damn, he looked so hot. Nonconsciously, I bit my lower lip while staring at his body.
In an instant, he covered it and turned away.
"Oops, you're not allowed," he says, COMPLETELY TURNING ME DOWN!
My brows furrowed, my arm crossed, and my eyes rolled.
"Jeez, you're my mate! Why am I not allowed?" I asked.
Badly, I wanted to hear him answer my question. It was so close, when the door opened, showing Dad in anger and Mom in fear. Immediately, Dad ran to chase Damion, and punched him. Mom stayed beside me, to stop me from my next possible action- protecting Damion. I didn't have to move to stop Dad. I just shouted.
"STOP, DAD! YOU'RE CAUSING ME PAIN TOO!" I shouted, crying. I can feel those punches all over my body. Blood is also flowing through my nose and mouth. I couldn't stop him at first blow because of his intense anger toward Damion. The second time I shouted, he finally noticed that his daughter is in pain too. How come Mom and Dad continuously forget my fate?
Dad apologized. But I couldn't hear him so clearly, I was so focused on Damion who was now escaping through the window. There's no need to shout for help. Despite how hurt I am right now, I followed him. Without a word, I ran and escape from Dad and Mom so I could still reach for him.
We're in the city, he shouldn't run so far or we will get caught. A werewolf isn't supposed to reveal its identity. We're just living quietly with humans as this world is just borrowed by us, werewolves.
I thought I wouldn't be able to catch him, and I was SO FUCKING right. DAMN! Instead of me, Dad caught him. This time, Dad didn't torture him. He just put Damion in a cage. When I looked at Damion, his were so scared. He was whimpering in the corner of the cage. Dad has left me with no choice. I stopped him.
"Enough, Dad, this is enough."
Dad stopped, but he just gave me a cold look, before continuing to walk again, back to Uncle Lowell's house. Actually, it's a villa.
"I said, STOP!" I shouted, causing the wind to travel so fast, making Dad startled, enough to stop him and talk to me. "What are you hiding from me, Dad? Why are you hurting my mate?"
Dad put the cage down and went closer to me. He's furious, I could even think that he might not bother hurting me. Luckily, he didn't. Before he could speak, I did.
"...just put me inside the cage too. I won't ask anything, just like what you wanted. But let me accompany him. He's my life mate."
Dad rampantly shouted. His wolf and human form went out simultaneously.
"Why are you claiming him already?!" he asked.
"Why not?"
"We could still pray for the Moon Goddess to change your mate!"
"But I don't want it."
"You liked Damion already?!"
I sighed. Right now, my two thoughts are fighting. Should I answer just the way dad wanted? Or should I not? In the end, I ended up with one answer...
"Yes, I do."
...answering what's against his will, when that's not what I actually feel. It's enough for him to let me be with the whimpering Damion. I just hope he didn't hear us. But I feel my conscience continuously bugging me. Ugh, I hate these stupid thoughts.
Damion was still whimpering inside the cage. I can't help but feel bothered. I have left with no choice again, but to hug him.
He stopped causing noises. He was so shocked that he started shivering. I whispered, "You're not alone, I'm here."
He looked at me. I was so glad to witness this. Damion is shifting back into his human form. His different way of wolfing out is the same as returning to human form. I smiled to show how amazed I was. But he shocked me...
...when he kissed me. IN FRONT OF MY DAD?!

3rd Point of View.
Jacob and Lucy weren't cautious about Damion's presence. Not until they saw him do something.
It was the night when Faye collapsed, that Damion caused. They put them together again in one room, as per advised by Lowell and Fatima. It's not surpassing a minute after they both collapsed when Damion woke up again in his wolf form. He was furious and caused some scenes. Breaking a lot of potions, and decorations, and almost hurting Faye. He stopped when Fatima tranquilized him.
Lowell realizes, there's something wrong with Damion. His different behavior and way of wolfing out are very alarming. That same night, Lowell told Jacob and Lucy that in no time, Faye will be found by either Sombermane Band or Starry Banes, and she will be killed because of Damion. Or if that's not the reason, Faye might die because of Damion's unusual body temperature that Faye couldn't afford to experience.
They felt anger so they couldn't help but attempt to kill him. After so many tries, they just ended up hurting Faye.
In the end, Jacob and Lucy came up with one solution- begging to change Faye's mate.
After returning Damion- who's now inside the cage with Faye- to Lowell's villa, he went outside and waited for the blue moon to appear. It only happens for a minute, so he has to wait until it appears.
Jacob kneel down and cried.
"Please, change Faye's fate. He's already suffering because of the Moonstone. Isn't it enough suffering? Please, not Damion, or my child will end up dying. Protect her from dangerous werewolves."
Jacob kept on crying and praying. Lucy is focused on her role to be the watchman to Damion and Faye, so she couldn't join Jacob's sacred prayer.
A minute passed, and the moon changed its colors. He thought he's not been heard. But Chandra, the Moon Goddess, heard him.
She went down from the moon and talked with Jacob about his plead.
"There's still suffering if you wanted that to happen."
"W-What kind of suffering is that?"
"I couldn't tell you, Jacob. You know, changing one's fate means changing everybody's fate. It means cheating. Interfering with destiny also means hurting the destined. If you wanted that to happen, we will proceed. But there's no turning back."
Jacob didn't hesitate. Immediately, he nodded. Without thinking further, he agrees. But he didn't know, he just put her daughter's life in danger.
3rd Point of View. Jacob was bothered because of the Moon Goddess' response regarding his prayer. All he wanted is to protect his daughter. Is it too much to ask for? After all, it wasn't Faye, Jacob, or Lucy's fault that Faye is bound to have an excruciating painful life. It was the Moon Goddess' fault for partnering Faye with a man who wanted to kill her— whose mission is to end her life. Jacob was preoccupied as he walked back to Lowell's Villa. After Chandra says her last line, she immediately disappears from Jacob's naked eye. Even if he wanted to change his decision or ask so many questions, Moon Goddess already forbids him by disappearing without a clue of when she'll re-appear. Lucy welcomed Jacob, worried sick. "Why are you home so late?" she asked while wiping Jacob's sweats. Jacob couldn't answer as soon as he was questioned. The question has also been forgotten when Lowell appeared, together with Fatima. Lowell looked so troubled. He couldn't even open his mouth to de
Damion's Point of View. Pounding joy couldn't escape my heart. I almost thought she despise me because of my sudden disappearance without notice or at least a sign that I'm still alive. I'm glad she didn't stop finding me, even though there's a hundred percent chance she will only find my remains. Her effort is beyond thoughtful, she's limitless and brave. I answered her before she rejected my intimate hug. "Just like you, I also wondered why. But we can still change this, okay?" I answered while holding back my outburst to laugh and release my overflowing romantic excitement. She pulled my arms and put them at the back of me— showing an initial sign of attacking. Answering, "Am I a laughingstock to you, Mr. Damion?" This time, the urge to laugh can no longer be hidden, so I let it out while trying to get my arms out of my back. I was about to answer. We were having fun and almost own the entire night, making it OUR night. But the Alpha King appeared. I can see his anger even in t
Faye's Point of View. Only a few inches away from the random man's face, near to kissing him. Only one move and Damion will kiss the random man unconsciously. But right now, I'm pretty sure he didn't care for anything else other than hurting that man whose planning to hit on me. It feels like he was out of this world and thinks he can do anything without anyone's approval. Whispering, "This is what happens to a man who can't be told once. This is what'll happen to a man who wanted to control my woman." Damion glared at the man, soaked in blood and damaged face, before he completely let go of his collar, coming back to drag me out of that place again. God damn it. My chest is about to come out. I can even feel my hot cheeks, probably is burning red right now. When he holds my hand, there was heat and spark that traveled through it, going to the passage of my veins, passing through my heart, and leading to my brain. Unconsciously, I stopped even when we were not so far from the bar. I
3rd Point of View. Like the raging fire, Jacob went berserk. He abnormally releases his anger that he couldn't control in the giant cauldron that Fatima and Lowell used to cook potions of medicines. He wolfed out, and now, his strength maximized to its full power, and could perfectly throw tantrums and eradicate things that caught his eye. The garden of Lowell seems like there's an enormous storm passed through. "Pitiful Jacob," snarled Fatima while sipping her expensive liquor placed in an expensive crystal glass, rolling her eyes upward. She was standing on her balcony while resting her arms on its railing. "Nah, don't you say that, Fatima. It's stupidity, I supposed. Stupid love makes him go wild like that," Lowell replied, walking to stand up beside Fatima. "A love he shouldn't even have in the first place?" Fatima laughed. "To protect Faye, he became obsessed with everything about his own daughter's business. Lowell, he's creepy." "Yeah, but how do you say he's flying into
Faye's Point of View."Confusing you?" he replied while furrowing his brows. Damion pushed me in front of him and got on his knees. "I apologize for this matter, Mr. Jacob. I couldn't bring her as soon as I found her. She's too stubborn and a slut.""A slut?!" I butted in. "Who do you think are you talking about? How dare you say that fearlessly in front of my face as if you're reporting about a stranger? You shithead."Damion nodded. "Yes, you're right. You're a stranger to me."My brows met. A perfect non-verbal way to ask, "WHAT?!"Damion was on his knees while stating a foolish statement. I rolled my eyes. This makes me sick. Mom looked fierce, and dad is terrifying. Maybe, if hurting Damion won't hurt me, my parents are already a murderer. Just the thought of it, it makes me want to throw up. Mom went closer to my face and checked. Maybe she's making sure that Damion didn't touch me. Then she came near Damion who was still bowing in front of them. Cripes, my parents are regular
3rd Point of View. There was the thunder that continuously rumbled into the dark sky, in the middle of the night. It was roaring heavily as if it was giving the fishermen a sign to get out of the boat and the storm will stay for a couple of days, leaving destruction around their houses. It's the price of misery they would get for building houses around the sea, where unknown creatures already lived. Lucy and Jacob were found in the midst of the sea, sleeping on the unoccupied boat. By the splash of a sea, they were awakened, still getting swayed by the water to the shore.Lucy roamed her eyes around, and so does Jacob. As the reality finally sinks in, Jacob growls while wolfing out, ripping his clothes apart. Lucy wept, and like Jacob, she wolfed out."I need to take back my daughter. I will," Jacob grunts. He immediately submerge into the sea and run like he was on land. Soon after, he became like a jetski, running toward the shore. Lucy is on his back. People around the island wer
Damion's Point of View. Never met a woman who was as vulgar as she is. Or... did I? "What? You've been staring at nothingness for quite a while. Are you that shocked? Is this your first time to ever heard a woman ask you shit like this?" she chortled and looked away. "Nevermind. I shouldn't have asked an impotent to have sex with me. Even if we do, it'll be impossible to feel the pleasure from you." Faye looked away and was about to lie down again to continue what she's been doing earlier. How unlucky of her to feel disturbed when I pulled her back in my arms again a few inches away from me. I was remaining nonchalant as I looked into her eyes. "Stop teasing me about having sex with you." She chuckled. "Are you teased? Oh my god, why?" "You're teasing me!" I shouted in a trembling voice. "I'm asking you, but not teasing. I stopped and you still can't move on. Why, Damion? Why?" she asked, squinting her eyes. She gave a goosebumps that made me push her away. Caring for her seems
Faye's Point of View. Falling down STRAIGHT from stairs is like it could pass to America's Got Talent contest, and I need the reward now. Damion and I fell down at the same time but were later tossed in an opposite way when we reached the bottom. "What is that noise?!" the prison guard asked. I was stuttering to answer him, I don't even know how to start making words. When I looked at Damion, he was calmer than I am. Pretty sure, he's been here and was not surprised to see this hidden basement. "What the hell, Faye, come on up!" he whispered while his teeth were sticking as if he was about to yell but couldn't do it. Damion pulled me up, as our chains resounded. When we got up, the stupid chains tripped Damion, resulting to trip me too. Now, I'm on top of him. The prison guard came in. He looks like he was about to punch Damion. I don't understand how he looked right now, it's just blunt and confusing. It speaks volumes of emotions I couldn't fathom. He went outside without a w
