CHAPTER SEVEN: Scary Encounter

Jack's Pov

The sun shone brightly through my window and i rise from the bed sluggishly.

It was a fine morning and a good weather for swimming. 

I would have go straight to the pool for swimming if i wasn't in a bad mood.

This isn't the time for swimming i said to myself.

I have even call my manager to inform him i wouldn't be coming over for training for a while and I'm very sure Donald my personal assistant will manage my company well in my absence.

I have to figure out what has been going on with Maureen.

I stood up from my bed and entered the bathroom to take my bath and clean up.

I emerges moment later and got dress in a black T-shirt and a baggy short.

I love dressing that way when I'm at home.

Being a famous swimmer and a successful billionaire business man, i had my own taste of fashion.

I walk out of my room to Maureen's.

I stood at the door for a while before giving it a knock but no answer so i open the door and step in but no one is in sight.

I called her name figuring she must be in her bathroom taking her bath but still no response.

I goes out of the room as i realized she isn't there.

I descend the stairs and walk into the kitchen where i saw Laura cooking breakfast.

" Good morning Laura, have you seen Maureen anywhere ? " 

She look up at me and smile.

" Morning darling, no. She must be in her room " she replied innocently stopping what she was doing to stare at me.

" No she wasn't there,i look over the living room on my way here but she isn't there as well " i said to Laura who stare at me in surprise.

I look at her as well in the same manner before reality hit me hard.

I race up the stairs to Maureen's room Laura followed me and i look over her dressing table and i saw a note.

I quickly pick it up to read it content.

My knees grow weak and i flop on the bed as soon as i read her note.

Laura received the note from me and she read it as well.

Why would Maureen ran away. Why would she leave again after coming back four years later? What does she mean by " i am too scared to tell you what has happened because i know you will be very mad at me ".

I buried my face in my palm as i realized i was too hard on her.

Laura sat heavily beside me interrupting my thoughts.

I am not surprised when i saw her crying. She has been our nanny after my mum died when Maureen was three years old.

I cuddle her close and she punch my chest with her fist weakly before leaning against me and sobbing against my chest.

" Get her back jack, she has suffered a lot. I don't want her alone out there " she plead sobbing.

I patted her back as i became determine to find not only my sister but whoever abuses her.

Jillian's Pov

I sat in front of my mirror and relax allowing diana to make my hair.

Lorie was busy getting my clothes ready and han, my chauffeur was already waiting for me in the car outside.

I smile to myself as i imagine how zach would be very surprised to see me.

I have confirmed from my manager larry  that he's at home.

I wouldn't be happy to go through stress of surprising him with my visit and at the end didn't meet him at home.

" I think this will suit  you for the evening " Lorie says strolling into the dressing room to meet me.

I look at her through the mirror and she held a short black gown for me to see.

I nodded.

" Yeah, i like it " i replied and she smiles in response.

After some minutes Diana was done with making my hair and applying my make over.

I stare at myself in the mirror and smile.

I don't like bragging but I'm just beautifully made.

I stare at my bare neck and thought for a seconds.

I brought out the necklace Zach has given me the previous night.

Both Diana and Lorie gasped in surprise as they saw the  silver necklace with diamond pendant.

" Wow, it looks so expensive " Lorie says staring at it.

I laughs and turn to her 

" It was a gift from Zach last night " i said.

I handed it to diana to help me get it on.

'' It look so perfect on you " Diana complimented and i smile at her.

" Thanks " 

" You're right Diana " Lorie says smiling at Diana.

I was shock, i exchange glances with both of them and scoff.

Why are they not fighting today. I stare at them and concluded probably because this is my first time of accepting a man and they don't want to ruin the night for me.

After a long while i am ready to go.

Diana and Lorie both see me off to my car and after promising them i will be careful and safe i enter into the backseat and han drove off immediately.

It was a cool evening and i am really enjoying the view.

Finally han pull into Zach's house.

I alighted from the car and signal han to follow me.

He get off the car in response and walk behind me.

He didn't try to overtake me or walk beside me and i smile.

He's just too polite for nothing.

I look around and no one was in sight.

I knocked at the door but no one answers so i push open the door to surprise my would be man.

I step into the living room and gasp.

It was tastly furnished.

I heard some noise from the hallway and creases my face in shock.

I quickly walk towards the noise and han follow behind.

I found myself in yet another living room but this one isn't as wide as the first one.

That even wasn't the reason for my face getting white as soon as i step into it because i was shock beyond anything comparable as to what i witness.

As i step into the living room i saw Zach trying to strangle a fragile looking lady.

My face went white in horror as the lady scramble towards my direction obviously happy of my presence.

Zach's Expression was of awe as well.

I'm sure he has not expected me to visit him.

" Move aside " i heard him say.

I glanced up to realize he was speaking to han who has stood in front of me protectively.

Somehow, my hand was holding the blond lady's hand tightly.

I quickly help her up and we ran out. I could hear han and Zach fighting.

I quickly open the car for the lady and she sat down quickly.

" Oh My God!, What if he killed han ?" I imagine horrified and i turn to back get him but i saw him running out as well.

I quickly enter the car as and he settled down behind the wheel and drove off speedily.

I glance at him and i notice a cut on his lips.

I sighed deeply in shock and i will my body to calm down from what has just happened.

I glance at the lady and her face look familiar.

" Thanks for helping me out. I'm Maureen Mayor " She said calmly.
