CHAPTER SEVENTEEN: In his arms

I watch Jack as he focus on eating his food.

I smile inwardly.

Is he trying to feign ignorance?.

I turn towards han and i saw him eating as well.

Good, looks like everyone is hungry.

I focus on mine as well and finally jack stood up and walk away 

He didn't say any words after announcing to me that the dinner is ready.

" How is Maureen doing ? " I asked han and he look up at me and smile.

That caught me off guard. 

" She's doing fine. " He said.

Good, now that he is in good mood i should ask him what has been bothering me.

" So i think you should be able to keep your end of the bargain and tell me about Mr Mike " i told him and he dropped the cutlery and swallow uneasily.

" Can i tell you on our way back tomorrow? " He asked me almost pleading.

"No problem "i  nodded quickly and i saw him stood up and leave.

Great! I am alone in this great dinning room.

I ate my food and i smile to myself as i realized Jack is not only a good swimmer but also a good cook.

After satisfying myself i cleared the table and goes into the kitchen to wash the dishes.

It is only a right thing to do.

I told myself .

I left the kitchen after getting everything in order and i goes into the living room and i saw no one.

The interior was alluring and charming that i ascend the stairs and walk to the window and stare down.

It was nearly dark and i could feel the cool breeze on my face.

I suck in a breath as i saw the Olympic  size pool and i knew immediately that Jack has it there for a reason.

The thought of him swimming in the pool filled my mind and i chuckled at myself.

" What is so funny ? " I heard Jack asked and i swiftly turn back to look at him.

" Uh... It's the uhm " i stammer as i did not want to tell him i was smiling at the thought of him swimming.

I stare at him and i notice his wet hair.

I peer closely and i realized he changed his cloth as well even though the one he wore earlier seem very the same as this one.

He appear relax in his house and i understand.

This is his territory.

He has his hands in his pocket and I wonder if he knows how sexy his voice is.

He stood still waiting for me to say something.

" I was marvel as i saw the pool " i said after finding my voice.

" Is that all ? " He asked walking towards me.

I stepped back and he continues walking towards me until my back was against the wall.

He stood closely to me that his breath caressed my face.

" That is all " i said.

He bent down so he could meet my height and stare at me.

" Let me show you to your room. You need rest " he said and walk away.

I let out a breath and follow him to the guess room which look tidy as well and comfy.

" Thank you a lot for helping me out today. Get some sleep, you look tired "

He said and turn away to go but I stop him.

" Do you have any clothes I could change into? " I asked him.

He turn to me and shook his head in negative.

" Maureen's clothe ? " I suggested and he shook his head again.

" Maureen never stay here, she arrived this week and ran off after two nights " he said and i nodded.

He left and i stare at the door for some minutes before sitting down on the bed.

I checked my cellphone, no messages.

I heard a Knock on the door and i stood up to answer it.

" Here, i hope you will be comfy in this " Jack said handing over to me one of his T-shirt.

I smile at him and he left.

Great! I went into the bathroom and took a long bath.

I finally get dressed in his clothe which was big enough to stop at my above my knee and get on the bed and sighed softly.

It surely been a long day.

I'm sure han will be okay as well.

I shut my eyes and slept off almost immediately.

Jack's Pov

I sat on my bed trying hard to get some sleep but i couldn't.

I gave up and i step out and walk towards Maureen's room.

I saw her sleeping peacefully and i smile to myself.

I have sent Laura and han to bed telling them they should get some rest.

I look over at the guest room and i sighed softly.

What has come over me?

When did i start having anything close to love for anyone since my dad died.

I enter into Maureen's room and sat down beside her 

Then suddenly my jaw clenched as i heard footstep.

The door open softly and i wonder who would it be at this odd hour.

Then she emerges and was clearly shock to see me.

" Oops , I'm sorry i didn't know you're here " Jill says and stood beside The door in my cloth.

I smile inwardly at her.

" I couldn't sleep so i came here " i said to her.

" I woke up moment ago and i decided to check on her.should i leave ? " She said to me.

"  No, you can stay " i said to her. " I am leaving already " 

I said and stood up.

" There's much to talk about but we can so it another time " i said and walk out and she followed me.

" I can tell you what you wish to know " i heard her says as she followed me into my room and i turn to her in surprise.

" What do you think you're doing ? " I asked her.

I study her face and i discovered she didn't realize she is in my room.

She look around and gasp in shock.

She turn to make her exit but i caught her by the wrist.

" You can tell me here as well " i said to her and she turn to me clearly uncomfortable.

" Uh... What did you wish to know " She asked with shaky voice and i laughs.

I move slowly to her and my mouth capture hers.

Hunger accompany by heat filled me as i crushed her into me.

She moaned softly.

My hands glided over her and i found my way to her breast as i stroke them.

Her response excited me more, she gripped my shoulder to steady herself and she pulled away slowly. I froze in shock.

" What? " I asked her. Didn't she want me? I asked myself unbelievably.

Have I misread her?

" It's... My first " she said silently.

I look at her in shock trying to understand what she meant.

" Your first what ? " I asked her impatiently.

" It will be my first if we did it " 

Her replied daze me completely and i stepped back.

I sighed in relieve, what would i have done if she hasn't stop me.

Reality slam into me and i stare at her hungrily  as the urge to have her become unbearable.
