DEVONNE’S POV I was swarmed by the press immediately I stepped down from my car, “Oh boy” I muttered and just sat in the car with the door open, waiting for my office security to come clear a path for me. DEVONNE’S POV “You have to go home and get some rest” Nathan had said to me the next morning, but I wasn’t feeling particularly inclined to do so. “Or at least take a bath, you smell like rotten pizza” he added and I scoffed. Josh hadn’t even so much as stirred. “You’ll call me as soon as he wakes up, when he wakes up” “I will, I promise”. Deeming his word worthy enough, I headed out and drove home. I feel on asleep almost immediately I got to my room, taking care only to avoid hitting my head on the bedpost. Hours later I woke up feeling less groggy and without a headache. DEVONNE’S POV “Did you guys crash into someone?” I asked Josh. “Uhm yeah, it’s one of my classmates” he croaked and I had to get him some water. Helping him up a bit so he can gulp it down. The boy came over and peered into Josh’s face “you don’t even look hurt” he said then turned to me “Hello, I’m Norman, since he’s awake now, shouldn’t you call the doctor?” I just stared. Josh had just been declared dead and now he’s alive and completely healed, not even a bruise on him. What will I tell the doctors? I was a child again, feeling his dirty hands on me, groping at my clothes while forcing my legs apart. The image shifted and I was driving a knife into his body over and over and over again I woke up gasping for breath, it’s really crazy how These nightmares started again a month ago, so I’ve been drowning myself in wine and men, it helps for the most part, but it is crazy. First thing I noticed after jerking awake was the killer headache I was sporting, second thing I noticed, was that there was a stranger in my bed. “Good Morning Devonne” I jerked awake and squinted at the person, it was Sansa, I had slept in…..in my office! I shut off the music and rubbed my eyes. “Morning Sansa, how’d you enjoy your new gift” I asked, struggling against a yawn.“I enjoyed it very much Devonne, thank you” she said while dropping a cup of steaming hot coffee and a bagel on a plate on my table. “Okay kids, remember to behave alright, Bob’ll be here any minute now….” just as she was rounded up her little pep rally, the doorbell rang. And I was just there thinking like, why? Why did this whole introduction thing have to take place at my house?! Why?! I could vaguely make out Brianna hissing, I turned to look at her and I almost chuckled at the pout she had on her face, She was 19 and had just gotten into college at UCLA.
