CHAPTER 33: CLIMBING UP THE CORPORATE LADDER
NextGen was holding their annual company party at a ball room in a luxurious five star hotel. The hotel was accommodating all the employees plus many of their clients. Leaders from the subsidiaries also joined the party in what began to look like the biggest networking event of the year. Jess was dressed in a long, body hugging silver dress that Pete had insisted on her wearing, while he was dressed in a smart suit with a silver tie. He had come with her to the party and introduced her to many of his co-workers at the IT department as she introduced him to her colleagues in the PR department. It was the first day of the official hotel field work and the staff at NextGen were excited to be going on holiday. Each employee had been given several allowances that allowed them to purchase flights, taxis and every other convenience that a regular traveler would need for a comfortable visit. Each employee was dispatched the night before so they would all check into their hotels at the same time.
