Jess had expected herself to cry after seeing all she had seen today, but it seemed her tears had been exhausted in the chapel. She walked to her car and sat for a minute while she tried to gather her thoughts. She did not want to go to William’s house because his mood had frightened her. However, after a few minutes, she convinced herself to go there so that she could pick up her stuff and then leave.
