CHAPTER 21

Verania's Point of View

I stood up from my exercise mat like a wilted vegetable after a tiring workout. It's been two days since I last did my routine, so what I did today felt quite intense, like a punishment for not following my ritual properly, tsk.

My hand was about to touch my drink when someone knocked on my room's door. Being too lazy to approach and open it, and since my door wasn't even locked, I just called out, "It's open," in a loud voice.

As the door swung open, Ares walked in. My eyebrow arched immediately as our eyes met. What is he doing here now?

"Let's visit my grandparents' rest house today," Ares said, causing my forehead to crease. We only recently went on a date because of Tita Charlotte, didn't we?

"What are we going to do there?" I asked, puzzled, waiting for my agreement to his invitation.

"Hang out," Ares replied, rolling his eyes, and I sighed, taking a sip of my drink.

After doing that, my gaze wandered to his leg, which seemed to be recovering nicely.
