KATHERINE'S POV
I walked home at a leisurely pace. It would be a long time before I got a chance to be alone again, and I already knew that I was going to get hell for pulling this stunt as it was, so I might as well enjoy it.
I couldn't stop thinking about the man from my nightmares and how he now seemed to be invading my waking life as well. I had been having dreams of his voice for as long as I could remember but it had only been once I moved here that a face came with the voice.
I wished that I could believe myself to be insane or over-stressed as then I could just get the help I needed, but I knew that I wasn't, it was just a wishful thinking. After everything that had happened over the last few days, I had learned that just because I couldn't explain something didn't mean that it wasn't real, this place is surely different from the other one's, creatures that look only good in books. Katherine and the coven had seated themselves at the kitchen table and they waited for Giselle to begin her tale. Katherine couldn't help the feeling of déjà vu that passed over her - this was disturbingly like when Giselle explained the Clans' history to Katherine, only this time, Katherine wasn't alone in her ignorance.
