K wiped her mouth with a face towel and placed her toothbrush beside Jesse's. It made a high-pitched clinking sound as it hit the bottom and sides of the glass.
She looked at herself in the mirror. Her lips were so pink from kissing, her cheeks so deeply flushed.

K was awakened by the smell of coffee, cinnamon, maple syrup, and fresh butter on toast.She sat up on Jesse's California King-sized bed, rubbing her eyes.
