Running into my stepmother had really shaken me up. It has been a week since I saw her last. I did see my father yesterday, but thankfully, he was across the street and too far away to see me. The fact that I had a beanie on and was walking in the opposite direction helped. I have been so thankful for Kaden since that run-in with my stepmother. He has been so sweet and reassuring, making me understand that all the horrible shit she told me that day was not remotely true. I knew it wasn’t, but all my insecurities from childhood came back. The whole ordeal sent me into a mild panic attack. I think that is what pissed Kaden off the most. She gave me a panic attack and stressed me out, and his concern for our child and me.
