This week has been stressful. It began with receiving that letter and those pictures and ended with Tianya and Kylynn storming into my house and being their dramatic selves. I am very thankful that I have friends like them, but as usual, they overreacted to the whole situation. I knew when Kaden walked in that night that he had more than likely talked to Sean and the guys. I had no idea that Tianya and Kylynn would find out that soon. I have no idea why they were even there, but that is not the point. I knew I was having a panic attack when I called Sean after Claire had left and told him what I had found. Thankfully he was used to me and knew how to talk me down from the panic attack. I used to have them a lot, especially in middle school. Quinn (Kylynn’s mom) had finally taken me to a doctor and prescribed me an anti-anxiety medication. I only take them when I have a panic attack, but I can’t right now. I have been more vigilant about everything since receiving the letter,
I lean back in my chair as aI swirl the whiskey around in the glass that I am holding. I have no idea how everything that I had meticulously planned suddenly went to hell. This had started so many years ago with my great-grandmother. She was determined to pull our family name out of the trash. My great-grandfather and his brother had lost everything in a bad business deal. Great-grandmother was pissed, and she let him know it. It was no family secret that great-grandfather slept around. Great-grandmother had turned a blind eye to it since he had built such a successful business, and she had her children that would inherit all of it. That was until he and his brother tried to partner with another booming business. From what I was told, everything was going well with the partnership until the other business started looking into the accounting, and then it went to shit. I guess my great-grandfather and his brother had been spending more than they were making, and they were wastin
I could see the hopeful looks on both Ian and Logan's faces. When I finally looked at dad, I could see the unshed tears in his eyes. I had no idea how to respond, and the next thing I knew, I was in his lap, crying like I was a five-year-old. Kaden is definitely my safe place, but it felt good to be in my dad's arms again. I was daddy’s little girl until Regina came along. I could feel him rubbing my back and telling me that he was so sorry for everything and that everything would be ok. For some reason, I believe him. It takes a few minutes for me to calm down, but when I do, I look up at dad, and he is smiling down at me. I pull myself out of his arms and sit back down by Kaden. He pulls me close and kisses my temple. I lean into him for support and comfort. “I just want to know why? I understand why you wouldn’t believe Kaitlin, but that doesn’t explain blowing me off.” I ask. “I can give you many excuses, but that is all they would be. I remember you telling me about
It has been four days since Tianya and Kylynn received that letter. Alek, Lance, dad, and I had gone down to talk about all of this with Sean and the guys. Obviously, all the letters had been printed from the same computer. The pictures appeared to be taken with someone’s phone or some shitty camera. It is clear that whoever this person is, they are not a photographer. While the pictures are good, they are not of professional calibre. I watch Lance. Alek and Brent walk into my office. I am glad that Brent is back. They might be having issues he is still able to calm Kylynn down. They each sit in their regular spots. “I heard you guys had an exciting weekend.” Brent comments. “I am not sure I would use the word exciting. It took us hours to get them calmed down and that was after they stormed into the gym and took out their aggression on the poor gym equipment.” Lance states. “Not to mention we need to replace two punching bags at the gym. Our saving grace was that no o
Our meeting two days ago went well. As expected, Tianya and Kylynn got angry, but we were able to calm them. I also made them promise that they themselves would not go out looking for trouble. They started to argue until I pointed out that they are now famous, and so far, they have kept their image fairly clean, and if they got into any kind of fight, it could jeopardize this. Of course, they countered with the fact that they don’t bother fighting girls. I told them that this didn’t matter and that they needed to be careful. They reluctantly agreed. However, since the meeting, Everly has been acting different. She had been coming into the office with me. She even came today, but when I got back from talking with Nick, she said she needed to leave. She wouldn’t even look at me, and I swear I heard tears in her voice. I am not sure what is going on. The gala is tomorrow, and I still can’t shake the feeling that something is going to happen. “Hey want happened?” Alek asked.
Kylynn and I have been talking with a few people, and we have come to the conclusion that a lot of this doesn’t have to do with Everly. She just happened to be the one stuck in the middle and an easy target. We are still digging around for more information, but right now, we need to figure out what the bitch at the gala was yelling about. There is no way I believe that Kaden has been cheating on Everly. That man is wrapped tightly around Everly’s little finger. There is literally nothing that Kaden wouldn’t get for her if he is able. Kaden sent me a picture of the test results saying that the woman, Jalyssa is her name, is pregnant. It just so happens that one of our friends is the doctor that she went to. She was more than willing to confirm that Jalyssa was eight weeks pregnant. I know she could get in trouble for what she did, but she also knows that we wouldn’t tell anyone. The house is quiet, which is not normal in this house. Someone is usually yelling or arguing. Tha
I felt like shit when I woke up at Tiayna and Kylynn’s. I had been finding little things in Kaden’s office all week that kept pointing me in the direction that he was cheating; when I saw that used condom in his trash, that was the final nail in the coffin. I left his office in a hurry because I couldn’t handle the truth. I knew there was no way that I could get out of attending the gala with him. When Jalyssa stormed up to us and started saying how they had seen each other, I knew my suspicions were validated. When she threw that piece of paper at Kaden saying that she was pregnant with his child, that was it. I knew I couldn’t be around him or there any longer. I pulled myself from his arms and talked away. I always knew he would find someone else, and here is the proof. The fact that he got her pregnant was the icing on the cake. I almost turned on the person that grabbed my arm to stop me, but I saw Kylynn standing there. I figured Kaden would come after me, but I guess
I bang my head against my desk in frustration. It is only Wednesday, and I need this week to get the fuck done. Mom stopped by yesterday, and while she believes me about the whole Jalyssa situation, she still ripped me a new one about putting Everly through all this stress. Alek should be back anytime now. He went and had lunch with Aunt Lisa. He was going to find out if there was a way to have a paternity test done before a baby was born. I sure as hell hope we can get this paternity test while Jalyssa is still pregnant. I have already contacted a family lawyer, and she said I need to request Jalyssa to get a paternity test formally. I have already put in a court order for this. I know there is no way she will do it without being forced. I am hoping that once she gets the formal paperwork, she will realize that I have called her out on this little game she is playing. She might be pregnant, but I know for a fact that the child isn’t mine. I heard her crying as I stopped in
