“I think I know.” Everly says. We all turn around when she speaks. We had no idea that the three of them had walked into the room. I shook my head when Kylynn called Korey and asked where they were. I heard him tell her that they were on their way. I smirked when he ignored the fact that she was yelling at him. He is more than used to how these two are and knows when they are really pissed. Zack has Alyani up on the giant screen on the wall. I am positive when I say she was not what any of us expected when she popped up on TV. Alyani is a tiny little thing. She can’t be more than 5’0” with long platinum blonde hair that fades into a purple-blue colour halfway down. Ironically the hair colour matches her eyes. Just like Tianya and Kylynn, she has several facial piercings, and I can see quite a few tattoos. Sean told us that Alyani grew up with the others and that they also taught her how to fight. I can see a large man sitting beside her. Both of his arms are covered in
I am still trying to process everything we learned yesterday. I was impressed that Alayni was able to find all the information she did. Even the guys that I had asked to find information and Zach, Sean, and Doug's guys weren’t able to find out everything that Alayni had. I know I was not the only one impressed with her ability. Our women had told us that she was extremely smart, but I didn’t realize she was that smart. I was glad that she could put Everly’s mind at ease by letting her know that we were not related.“Did you have any idea about any of this mom?” I asked.“I knew there was a huge family secret, but I had no idea that it ran that deep. I had always had my suspicions about a few things but I could never get anyone to talk about it and even with how hard I look
I almost laughed at their faces when I told them in a calm voice that Tianya and Kylynn had beaten the shit out of the two biggest gang leaders in town. It was partially true. We had been out wandering around town one day when a group of guys started bothering us. We ignored them, but they didn’t get the hint. They followed us for a few blocks; just as Tianya and Kylynn were going to turn around and ask them what the fuck their problem was, another group of guys appeared, and that's when shit went down. It turned out that they were rival gangs, and the one was partially coming to make them leave us alone and ask them why they were on their turf. I was terrified, but Tianya and Kylynn stood there staring at all guys as if they were bored. They probably were. I knew a fight between the two groups was imminent, and I was pulling on their arms to get us out of there. Of course, that didn’t
I didn’t miss how that guy looked at Everly as we walked out, and I sure didn’t miss how she acted towards him. She acted as if she was afraid of him, considering how she clung to me as we walked out. I looked at him briefly and thought I had seen him before, but I was not sure. He didn’t look too imposing, and I am positive that I could handle him if he gave her trouble. He walked out the front door as we walked over to the elevator to get to our cars. I can’t help but laugh every time I see Kylynn climb into Brent’s lifted truck. I did notice that he put some step boards on the truck. I am guessing to make it easier for her to get into the damn thing. I shake my head and climb into the driver's seat. I reached over and placed my hand over her hand, which was rubbing her belly. I hoped it would relax her. She looked at me, and there it was, that beautiful
There was a shit ton of nervous energy in this room. Alayni and Travis had landed earlier than they thought they would. They got into Savannah at around midnight. Everly had woken up to Alayni’s group text, letting everyone know that they had arrived and the meeting would still take place around noon. Of course, Tianya responded by telling all the girls they needed to meet her and Kylynn for breakfast. I was hesitant to let Everly out of my site, but I also didn’t want the lecture from Tianya and Kylynn I knew I would get if I didn’t let Everly go. I dropped Everly off at the restaurant that Kylynn had chosen. Us men decided to meet for breakfast as well. Gio told us about this new place, so that is where we met. I sat down beside Lance as Alek introduced me to everyone else.“This is Rondell.” Travis said.
“Where the hell are we going to up all this shit?” I ask.“I have no idea, but I am sure we can store it somewhere until the house is done.” Everly answers. This room is overflowing with everything a newborn would need. It is official; my mother has gone insane. Christmas was fantastic, and it was great having Rondell here for it. He returned to Detroit two days ago but told us he would visit more. Rondell laughed as we opened presents. I am positive that my son will not need anything until he is in his teens.“Seriously, mom has lost her mind. He hasn’t even been born, and he already has a toddler bed. I am not sure we are going to be able to fit all this stuff into the nursery in the house. He has more clothes than I do
I knew that Kaden was anxious about that meeting between Arthur, the lawyer and the mystery person. Kaden and Lance had to fly out today for the meeting in Boston. They weren’t due to leave until Tuesday, but the meeting had to be pushed up. The whole North East was expecting a terrible winter storm, and Kaden and Lance didn’t want to get stuck up in Boston for who knows how long. They are due back Saturday. The storm is expected to hit Sunday, so they wanted to make sure they left before it rolled in. I am currently over at Mark and Claire’s. I didn’t want to stay in the apartment alone, and Gio had to fly home. He had a family emergency, and that would have left me alone in the apartment. Claire told me to come to stay with them until Kaden got back, and I was more than happy to do that. Claire and I were planning my baby shower. I told her that I really didn’t
I don’t think I have ever seen Auntie so pissed. Grandmother was not much better, but Auntie was really pissed. I knew they had gone with our lawyer to talk with someone about that stupid contract. They had been hoping their lawyer could find some sort of loophole and get everything we were entitled back. Something tells me that whatever they found out was not what they expected. Both had come home, and I could tell by the looks on their faces that they were pissed. I knew Jalyssa had quit working at Kaden’s office. I told her she was stupid, but I knew the forced paternity test freaked her out. She didn’t think that Kaden would fight her on it, which was stupid on her part. I had talked to her a few times, but she had all but disappeared. Grandmother and Auntie didn’t even know where she was. Malik had called to let me know that the paternity test had come back,
