11~Waking Up In His Arms

Aurora's POV

“I can't give you the life you deserve, but I promise to protect you with my life, my little dove.” Those words continued ringing in my ears, even in my sleep.

I woke up to a hard warm body pressed against mine. My body tingles in awareness, I wriggled around trying to get out of the bed, but a strong hand was holding me in place. I groaned as a deep headache hit my head. Result of drinking too much last night.

I tried to wriggle out of Kaizen's grip again but he didn't let go, snuggling into my neck. His stubble tickled my neck making me bite back a low moan. I tilted my head slightly to see that Kaizen was still asleep.

I wanted to stay like this forever. In his arms. Safe and protected from the world. His arm was wrapped tightly around mine as if he was afraid to let me go. Not wanting the moment to end, I snuggled more into his warmth as I traced my hands around the intricate lines of his tattoos.

But as I expected, this wouldn't last as much as I wanted it to. Go
