Chapter 196

Upon reaching the first floor, Clifford stepped out of the elevator and spotted Chester and Aria. His anger instantly flared, as the last thing he wanted was to be seen by people he knew.

Chester and Aria were both stunned by Clifford's disheveled appearance. Chester was genuinely concerned for Clifford, while Aria fought hard to suppress the urge to burst out laughing. She lowered her head, struggling to keep a straight face—so much so that it almost hurt.

She found herself unable to contain her laughter at the sight of Clifford's pitiful appearance. She wanted to take a photo of him to send to Seraphine and cheer her up—Clifford's wretched appearance was simply too gratifying, after all.

Chester looked at Clifford with a genuine, worried expression, asking, "What happened to you, Mr. Johansen? Why don't I take you to get your injuries checked out with a doctor?"
