CHASE.

The three of us had agreed the night before to relieve and dissipate the stress that we had been accumulating throughout the whole week. So the next morning, we left very early just before dawn to the woods to engage in some running and shed off the terrible feeling.

As we walked through the woods that morning, everywhere felt quite peaceful and the tranquillity just felt so distant, because it had been very long since I felt that kind of peace. Pack duties and the constant quarrel between our two mates had robbed us of our leave.

The only sound that could be heard as we trudged to a spot was the rustling of leaves, the cracking of twigs as we stepped on them and the dawn chorus, birds chirped merrily as they announced the coming of a new day. What was more, I was particularly determined to make the most of the day and go back to the Pack later on with a sound mind and soul.
