Chapter 610

Author: Maureen Green
Colin increasingly felt that his life with Gwyneth was a complete mess, and that only Aspen was truly right for him. He picked up his phone and called Riley.

"Riley, I need you to pick a ring for me. I want the most expensive one, something that truly represents my feelings," Colin said with a hint of excitement in his voice.

Riley was taken aback and sounded confused as he asked, "A ring? Mr. Fuller, what do you need a ring for?"

"To give to someone, obviously," Colin replied mysteriously. "Don't ask questions, just go handle it."

Though puzzled, Riley immediately responded, "Yes, Mr. Fuller. I'll take care of it right away."

After hanging up, Riley immediately informed Aspen about this.

"Ms. Nicholls, Colin wants to buy a ring, and it's probably for you," Riley said with a hint of amusement.

Aspen raised an eyebrow, her lips curving slightly as she chuckled softly. "A ring?

"Perfect. Since he wants to give me one, I'll let him. It'll come in handy," Aspen said as a cunning gl

Aren turned to Gregory, his voice steady and resolute. "Gregory, I need you to help me prepare a gift.""A gift?" Gregory blinked, a little puzzled. "Mr. Jefferson, what kind of gift are you thinking of?""I'll give you a list," Aren said, then paused briefly before adding softly, "And... a bouquet of blue roses."Gregory instantly understood. He nodded without hesitation. "Got it, Mr. Jefferson. I'll take care of it right away."By dusk, Aren pulled up in his car outside the apartment building where Aspen lived. He stood at the curb, holding the flowers and a carefully wrapped gift, his eyes fixed on the window he remembered so well. His heart pounded wildly in his chest. Part of him longed for the chance to see her again, but another part feared she'd turn him away all over again. Aren waited by the building, watching her window, but no lights came on. The sky darkened, and the city's neon glow danced along the edges of the street.Just then, Aspen's car turned the corner and

Gwyneth trembled as she scrambled to gather the scattered documents, flipping through them one by one."This can't be... This can't be real…" she whispered over and over, her voice rising into a piercing shriek. "No!"She suddenly ripped the documents to shreds, the pieces fluttering to the floor like snow. Then, she lunged at Colin, grabbing his arm and wailing, "It's your fault, Colin! You were cold to me! You pushed me to this!"Her fists pounded against his chest as she broke down, completely unhinged.Colin stared at the hysterical woman in front of him with nothing but pure disgust in his eyes. There wasn't a single trace of sympathy left. He shoved Gwyneth away and barked, "Enough! Haven't you made a big enough scene?" Gwyneth was pushed to the ground, and when she looked up to see Colin's cold gaze, the last shred of hope in her heart was extinguished. Ellie had initially felt some sympathy for Gwyneth. However, seeing her like this, she realized she'd been deceived to

Colin looked at Riley and motioned for him to bring the fruit basket closer.Riley stepped forward, handed it to him, then silently moved aside and waited.Colin accepted the basket, casually rifling through the top layer of fruit like he didn't care much. But in truth, he was paying close attention, wondering if this was Aspen's way of making peace with him.Suddenly, his fingers brushed against something that wasn't fruit. The texture was unmistakable—paper. His hand paused, and his gaze sharpened immediately. He pushed the fruit aside, revealing a brown envelope at the basket's bottom.Colin's brows knitted into a tight frown as he grabbed the envelope and tore it open without hesitation. Inside were several printed documents, each stamped and labeled with titles like "Depression Diagnosis Report" and "Falsified Medical Records". His face darkened instantly. His voice was low and hoarse, carrying a note of disbelief, as he mumbled, "W-What is this?" Gwyneth's face turned p

In the Nicholls Group office, Aspen set down her pen and let her slender fingers tap rhythmically against the desk, creating a steady tapping sound. "Riley, I want you to prepare a fruit basket," she said, looking up at Riley who stood in front of her desk with a calm tone. "Make sure it's filled with the freshest produce and everything looks perfect," she added, a faint, knowing smile curling on her lips. "And at the bottom, place a little special gift."Riley was caught off guard by the order, but the look in his eyes quickly shifted with understanding. He knew exactly what Aspen meant—this wasn't any ordinary gift.Lowering his voice, he cautiously asked, "Ms. Nicholls, do you mean..."Aspen didn't answer directly. Instead, she smirked as a glint of coldness flickered in her eyes. "Gwyneth's 'depression' performance has been so convincing... It's time she really starts feeling sick."Riley caught on immediately. Aspen was ready to expose Gwyneth's lies and make Colin see th

Soon, Riley knocked and entered the office, standing respectfully in front of the desk and waiting for Aspen's instructions. "Ms. Nicholls, what can I do for you?" Aspen gestured for Riley to come closer and lowered her voice as she gave her orders. "I want you to secretly investigate Gwyneth and Colin's current situation, especially Gwyneth. I need to know what she's been doing lately and who she's been meeting."She paused and added another instruction. "Also, keep following up on Zac's disappearance case, and report any new developments to me immediately." Riley's expression became serious as he immediately understood Aspen's intentions. "Yes, Ms. Nicholls, I'll handle it right away."He turned and left the office, beginning to execute Aspen's orders....Meanwhile, Gwyneth gently tucked the blanket around Colin at the hospital, her face softening with a warm smile. "Colin, how are you feeling today? Do you feel uncomfortable anywhere?"However, Colin's gaze seemed distant.

"Very well. Riley, you've truly proven your worth," Aspen praised. She continued with confidence, "From now on, Fuller Group's affairs will remain under your responsibility. I trust you won't disappoint me."When Riley heard this, he became even more excited and quickly expressed his commitment. "Please rest assured, Ms. Nicholls, I definitely won't let you down!" Aspen looked at Riley with a slight smile, and a thoughtful glint flashed through her eyes. Riley's loyalty and competence gave her even more confidence in the plans she was about to set in motion.Just then, Chester rushed into Aspen's office, his urgency matching the echo of his hurried footsteps."Aspen!" he called out, completely disregarding the usual formalities. His voice was filled with unmistakable concern.Aspen looked up, mildly surprised, and set down the file in her hands before glancing his way. "Chet? What brings you here?"Her tone was calm, her face even carrying a faint smile, as if nothing out of th
