Present day.

The first thing I noticed when I regained my consciousness was the silence. I opened my eyes slowly, blinking against the soft light that was filtering in through the windows. For a moment, my head was completely blank and I couldn't even remember anything or where I was. The ceiling above me was too high and the room was larger than what I was used to.
