Aria

Something hovered in his gaze, something inhuman, I held his gaze, refusing to back down.

The world around us froze, his silver pupils glowed brightly, he let out a deafening growl, baring his fangs.

I tilted my neck, offering it to him, “I can do this, I can do this” I muttered, chanting over and over, ignoring my pounding heart, this wasn't the time to be scared.

I wasn't letting go of my newly tasted freedom, a warm musky breath settled on my neck, teeth grazed it, I shut my eyes, waiting.

Just then a loud bang went through the air at the same time a shove threw me further away from Cain’s wolf, something whooshed right past me and lodged straight into the wall just behind my former position.

Silver bullet.

I swallowed nothing, feeling my heart drum heavily, the shot had gone straight for the kill.

“I almost died” the realization chilled me to the very bones.

Cain's wolf let out a loud furious howl.

“It's too late.” Ghost muttered under his breath.

Pushing off from where I sat I stood with trembling knees, turning towards where the shot had come from I saw a face that made my blood boil.

“Father.” I spat, nearly seeing red, my nails dug fiercely into my palm. A flash of Elena's cold corpse passed through my mind instantly, so she wasn't enough, he also wanted to do the same to me.

He gave me a disgusted look, “Traitorous daughter.” he snarled.

I let out a hollow laugh, “Traitor? How could you?” I knew not to expect anything from him, but deep down, I couldn't help the heart break.

“I'm your own flesh and blood for crying out loud” my voice shook as I spoke.

“No daughter of mine aligns with rogues” he growled, “I'll wipe your disgrace off the face of this earth before it stains my name.”

Something cracked in me, my vision blurred, why would he do this?

Without waiting to hear from me his lips moved, “Wipe these scourges off the earth.” He gave the command.

Snarls and growls from both sides filled the air, my eyes went from the look on Fath—No, Alpha Theron’s face to the hounds standing behind him, and the royal guards, then to Jax, bones, Mika and instantly I knew what I had to do.

Curling my knuckles into fists I spoke up before the fear could paralyze me,

“STOP!” my voice thundered, pausing all in their tracks.

My feet moved under their gazes heading towards the man that was once a father to me, “You want me.” I started loudly.

His eyes followed me, a smug approval resting on his face, the kind he always gave whenever things were going his way, just like when he almost sold me off in that sham of a wedding.

I heard Mika’s voice from behind “What are you doing?”

Jax yelled, “No, stop.”

I ignored them, I could feel a particular stare trying to pin me in place but this was something I had to do.

“Alpha should have left you to die.” I could hear the disappointment in Bones' voice.

Finally, I got to the bridge separating us, the grin on his lips widened, “Good girl.” He nodded satisfactorily, “I knew you would never betray me. Stand with me, let's destroy these bastards together.” He stretched his hands towards me.

Laughter tore through me, tears blurred my vision but I laughed harder, the look on his face morphed into confusion.

Without letting myself overthink it I spat, it landed on his face, everything froze. Literally frozen, the air rippled with tension, the guards behind him looked like they were scared to breath.

“Years. Years, father. Do you even deserve to be called that? Years in darkness, wishing and waiting. Hoping you'll stretch those same hands towards me, to save me, your daughter” my voice was quiet

The silence stretched, Alpha Theron looked like he was still trying to gather himself, to understand what just happened, but I continued.

“Yet, you've only stretched them twice towards me, handing me over to that joke of an alliance you wanted and now. You repulse me.”

His face reddened, his alpha aura exploded in the air, an earth shattering growl left his lips, he leaped into the air, lunging for me.

Taking advantage of his momentary shock, I fled back, I could feel his breath almost on me.

A loud bang set off battle cries, both sides engaged instantly, something fell behind me, I didn't bother checking what it was till I crashed into a familiar warmth.

I thrashed, fighting with all strength, a cool voice whispered into my ears, “It's alright, I've got you.”

Looking up I came face to face with Cain, his eyes held something complicated, something I couldn't read.

A groan drew my attention, that was when I finally noticed Alpha Theron writhing on the floor a silver bullet was lodged into his chest, thick red blood seeped from the injury, it wasn't enough to kill an alpha but more than enough to do enough damage.

Cain steadied me, I forced my trembling body to calm, never have I thought I would see him in such a state, the proud untouchable alpha, on his knees before the same one he called a reject.

He gnashed his teeth, eyes blaring with hatred, the noise around us had quietened, Cain's team had taken care of most of them at the speed of light, they must have used the distraction.

I stood beside Cain, his hand was on my waist possessively, looking over my father, he looked like he wanted to tear us apart, I shuddered subconsciously, taking a step back, Cain's hold kept me firmly in place.

He brought out a knife slashed my palm and his, the blood dripped on Alpha Theron half conscious body, realizing what we were about to do he let out a weak growl,

“No”

Ignoring him, Cain slammed our hands together, while muttering the blood chant, some of it splashed on Theron's face, he spat out a mouthful of blood.

Satisfaction brimmed under my skin, “This is for Elena” I whispered, watching as his eyelid closed forcefully.

  • Kidnapped by My Sister's Biker Mate    Chapter 5

Aria's POVI woke up to find Cain asleep in a chair beside my bed.For one disoriented moment, I forgot where I was. Forgot the kidnapping, the chase, everything. I just saw him, his head tilted back against the wall, arms crossed over his chest, dark hair falling across his forehead and felt safe. Then reality crashed back in.He kidnapped me. He hates me. He's using me for revenge.I should have been terrified or looking for a way to escape.Instead, something deep inside me—something I'd never felt before stirred to life.My wolf. The wolf my father had buried under ten years of wolfsbane and lies. She was fighting, screaming for her mate."No," I whispered, horror crawling up my throat. "No. Not him. Anyone but him."But my wolf didn't care about logic or reason or the fact that this man had dragged me out of my prison only to lock me in another one. She only knew one thing: that he was mine.Cain's eyes snapped open like he'd heard me. Maybe he had—wolves had excellent hearing, a

  • Kidnapped by My Sister's Biker Mate    Chapter 4

Cain's POVI watched as Jax and Stanley shoved her into the back room—not quite a cell, but close enough to be one. It had concrete floor, bare walls, a mattress that had seen better days thrown in the corner. One window with bars that cut the moonlight into strips. The door clicked shut, and I positioned myself outside it like a stationed guard. This was tactical, strategic. I needed her alive and compliant for the plan to work. That's why I was standing guard. No other reason.Definitely not because some part of me, the part that remembered a laughing ten-year-old girl who used to beg me to throw her higher—wanted to make sure she was safe."You really think this is a good idea?" Mika's voice cut through my thoughts.I didn't turn around. I kept my eyes on that closed door like it might suddenly open. "What choice do I have? He killed Elena. He killed everyone.""She's not him."My jaw clenched. "She's his blood. That's enough."Mika moved closer. I could feel her studying the side

Aria's POVIt was Cain, my dead sister's mate.Cain Lake.He grabbed my arm and his grip wasn't gentle, but it wasn't brutal either as he dragged me inside the warehouse. It was firm, possessive even. The inside looked exactly like what it was—a makeshift base for wolves on the run. Motorcycles lined one wall in various states of repair. Weapons hung on the other side; guns, blades, etc. Maps covered a third wall, marked with red circles and crossing lines that probably meant territories and escape routes. His crew was already inside, helmets off now, and they all turned to stare at me.Mika, the woman from earlier. Reaper, the massive man who looked like he could snap me in half without even trying. A thin guy hunched over a laptop typing away furiously and others I hadn't been introduced to yet. They stared at me like I was a bomb about to explode.Maybe I was.A man with dirty blonde hair and an oblong face stepped forward. His leather cut had "VP" patched on it. Vice President. Se

Aria's POV“This is what a bastard looks like” He stopped temporarily just out the gate, turning me upside down so that my eyes faced the engine while my legs flailed in the air.He kicked the engine off instantly, riding crazily, swerving and avoiding bumps as we escaped, no he escaped. I could still hear the Hounds chasing after us. My father must have been really mad at the atrocity committed, he never released the hounds unless it was important. And who knew the order he might have given. The Hounds were after us, running at impossible speed in their wolf form but my captors were as good on their bikes as they were good in their full form.He was weaving through the forest roads with coordination —like someone who knew these roads well enough. His crew, I suppose, no one was driving without a helmet on, followed after him with the same precision and control while fighting off wolves that came too close. My brain worked at full speed, I didn't want to get married but I also didn

Chapter 1— The RideAria's POV “Whatever you do, do not annoy the prince. Remember your training”, Lady Morgana whispered softly as she tended to my hair.I sat on the chair in my silver embroidered dress, looking like a zombie with no life in her eyes. I was getting married, this was supposed to be every girl's dream and happiest day.Except that I was being sold off by my father.“It's time, let's go”She led me out of my room and into the ballroom. It was quite full and for the first time in 10 years, I was seeing a lot of people gathered in one place.I felt my skin prickle but kept my gaze down as I approached the platform. My father was standing there with a grin on his face and Prince Kieran stood by his side, his hands on his ceremonial sword.I stopped in front of them, my eyes on the ground and feeling the several pairs of eyes burn into my back. The hall was now grave silent, Prince Kieran stepped forward with a smug look on his face.“My world! Is she pretty? Alpha Theron
