POV MARIUS

Her voice was like a siren's song to me; I was suddenly overwhelmed by it.

When Jane asked me why I had kissed her, part of me wanted to just keep pretending nothing had happened, but another part was screaming for me to tell the truth.

And I desperately wished she felt the same way.

Even though I could sense when she was aroused, I wanted Jane to say she desired me. I wanted her to ask me to touch her.

And how I wanted to touch her—every inch of her.

Gaius screamed in my mind, urging me to tear her clothes off and claim her. He didn’t seem to care about Jane’s consent, but thankfully, I managed to keep him under control.

Then Jane asked—her sweet, sensual voice—she asked me to kiss her.

My body moved on its own, Gaius taking over for a few seconds as I froze at her request.

In an instant, I captured her lips with mine, tasting every bit of her, her soft lips, her slender body. My hands roamed over her skin, silky and fragrant.

I felt completely lost in Jane, my tongue expl

Jane“It’s time to get out of bed, Jane. We all have chores here you can’t just stay locked in this room.” Lena opened the windows, letting the sunlight pour in.It had been a week since I’d been trapped in this pack, and with each passing day my hope that Marius would come to rescue me was fading.Had he really left me behind?Lena crossed the room, opened the wardrobe, and pulled out some clothes. She tossed them onto the bed for me.“Even with Tristan’s collar around your neck, you still need to get up and do your part in this house. Every female contributes here, and since you’re Tristan’s exclusive—”“Don’t say that.” My voice cracked, a knot tightening in my throat.Lena blinked, confused.“Don’t ever say I’m his exclusive anything. In fact, don’t say that about anyone around me. It’s wrong. It’s disgusting.”Lena sighed softly, patient, and came to sit on the bed beside me. She took my hands gently in hers, her touch warm and kind, her gaze steady.“I know it’s hard for you to

Marius… find me…“Jane! Jane!” I screamed, my voice echoing through the cursed cave.My heart was racing as Jane’s words and voice reverberated in my mind, repeating louder and louder.I got up, ignoring the pain in my wounded leg, and ran toward the cave’s entrance.A storm raged around me, full of thunder. I had no idea what hour it was in the dead of night, and I didn’t care that they were still searching for me in the forest. All I could think about was that Jane was calling me.Oh, goddess, let me reach her. Let me protect her, let nothing bad have happened, and I swear to you, I will set her free.I kept running toward the entrance. I had hidden in the back of that cave after being struck by arrows from the wolves of Delister’s Alpha. She’s not out there. Turn back, or we’ll be caught…Gaius’s voice startled me. He had been silent in my mind for three days.Three days hidden in that cursed cave while Gaius had locked himself away deep in my mind, mourning Jane’s absence.“So you

Nina stood up with the help of Lena and Meg, who assisted her as she walked outside, while I watched in horror.“Aren’t you coming? My name is Karen,” the tall she-wolf asked, placing a gentle hand on my shoulder.“I… This is wrong,” I said, my voice trembling.I saw in her expression that she sympathized with what I was feeling, as if she somehow understood.“You better go back to your room; you don’t need to see this,” she said, moving toward the courtyard with the others.I remained frozen for a few seconds, staring at the path everyone had taken, hearing the cheering and jeering of the males outside, the sound of swords clashing against each other. Until a thunderclap echoed above.Without thinking much, I started walking toward the stairs, but halfway there, I turned and headed for the courtyard. The males had spread out, forming a circle around the two who were fighting fiercely. They shouted and howled, encouraging them to kill each other.I looked around and saw the she-wolves

  • Kidnapped by the Alpha   Chapter 39

I was frozen in horror as the fragile body of a she-wolf I didn’t know tumbled down the staircase that seemed to have a million steps. While I was drowning in shock and paralysis, unable to move a muscle to help, the same wasn’t true for Tristan. The male moved like lightning, leaping three steps at a time down the grand staircase. Within seconds, he caught the female before she had even reached the halfway point. When Tristan held her, and the sound of an argument echoed from above, my body finally reacted.“Oh, heavens! Tristan, is she all right?” I cried as I ran up the stairs.Tristan Hawthorn was holding a she-wolf with short hair and clouded eyes in his arms. She was clutching her own arm, which bent at an unnatural angle.“Her arm’s broken…” he growled, and I saw his gaze flare red.The she-wolf had tears in her eyes, but she made no sound—as if she was afraid to cry.I realized she was trembling in Tristan’s arms.Oh, she was afraid of him! No, she must have been afraid of all

I could see how Tristan’s eyes burned with rage—I bet no female had ever struck him before. And by his expression, he hated it.“She gave birth to you; you’re alive here because of her,” I said, feeling bitterness seep into every word.Tristan ran his hands through his hair and looked at the gravestone, then back at me.“I’m alive because my father decided she would be a good female to bear his second child, since the first one seemed to be a disappointment.”When he said that, I tensed, because he was probably talking about Marius. So, Marius was Kilian’s firstborn? That’s why he wanted him close? He would naturally be the Alpha after Kilian’s death...While I was lost in these thoughts, Tristan grabbed my arm and pulled me toward the mansion, saying:“Don’t tell anyone about this. From now on, you belong to me. No one must know who your mother was, nor your connection to me. Understood?”I nodded, not knowing why I had to hide that information. We entered the house, and as he dragge

  • Kidnapped by the Alpha   Chapter 37

Tristan was a despicable male—of that I had no doubt. But watching him force me to put on a collar with his name engraved on it… that was too much. I knew the black wolf pack was different from the others, that they were crueler, more violent, more vile. Still, had some part of me foolishly believed that, once he discovered we were siblings, he might be… gentler?A foolish mistake, because it was now clear to me that he would remain as cruel and malicious as ever.I drew in a shaky breath, the collar around my neck an unbearable weight, but I forced myself to focus on the answers I so desperately needed.“What was her name? Is she here?” I asked.Tristan rolled his eyes as if bored, then rose to his feet and closed the distance between us. He was several inches taller, his catlike eyes fixed on me. I waited anxiously for his reply until he exhaled slowly and pointed toward the door.“I’ll take you to her,” he muttered.I blinked, hardly believing his words.Tristan turned and strode t
