"Finally home!" Drake said once we got inside our house. I rolled my eyes at his childishness. Austin turned his head and looked at us while sitting on the couch. "Hey guys, how’s the mission?"

Drake walked to the couch and plopped himself on it. "Easy as usual." I scoffed and went to the kitchen to make some drinks. Taking out a can of soda, I walked back to the living room and settled myself on the couch.

"Where’s Matthew?" I asked. Austin raised his brows at me. "Why?"

"I need to have a word with him." Austin leans forward, resting his elbow at his knees while narrowing his eyes at me. "You were going to admit your feeling to him?" I threw the pillow that is next to me and aim it at his face.

Austin and drake only laughed seeing my reaction. "You guys are such an asshole." I got up and decided to head to my room to take a nice warm shower. "Hey, where are you going?"

"To infinity and beyond," I said to Austin. He chuckled hearing my answer. I walked up the stairs while sipping my soda. Once I got to my room, I put the soda on the table and head to the bathroom.

Stripping myself as I jumped into the spray of the shower, my tense muscles instantly feel relaxed. A lot had happened within those 7 years. I sighed as my mind wander around at the past. 7 years ago, I never thought I will be doing stuff like this. 7 years ago, I was a happy and bubbly girl that lit up everyplace I go. That always makes people laugh and feel comfortable with me.

I closed my eyes, replaying the incident that happened that night. That makes me involved in this world.

*flashback*

The chilly night air hit my skin. I hugged myself hoping to keep myself warm. Tonight, I decided to go to the club getting myself drunk, even though I’m still 18. I’m thankful for my friend who made me a fake ID is useful at some point. But walking around half-drunk in the middle of the night wearing almost nothing is completely stupid. The tears in my eyes kept streaming down, it has been like that since he tore my heart... I was walking barefoot on my way back to my dorm with the heels hanging on my hands. I thought he changed, I thought he changed since the day he met me but I was wrong he never changed. He just likes every other guy.

The more I think about it, the more my heart crunch. I broke down on the pavements crying my heart out. I know is a stupid thing to do, wasting your tears for someone who doesn’t give a fuck about you. But what can I say, I love him.

I don't know how long I sit there crying but as I stood up someone picked me by the waist harshly dragging me to a black car from what I see. I try to scream but a hand clasps over my mouth, muffling my scream. I think fast and bit his palms. He let me go immediately while cursing aloud. I took that chance to run away, I pray to god, hoping there will be someone who passed by. I haven't even got that far till he grabs my arm harshly and drags me to that car.

Before I even got the chance to screamed, someone injected me into my neck. I don’t even know what that thing is. But slowly, I lose consciousness and darkness envelops me.

The next thing I know, I woke up in what look like a prison cell that is so small and can only fit one bed. I try to recall everything that happens, why am I here. I closed my eyes and rack my brain, my eyes shot up once I remember the incident that had occurred.

I got abducted.

My eyes starting to tear up, it was my entire fault. If I didn’t go to that bar, I wouldn’t be in this prisoner cell. It was all because of him, I hate him so much. I looked around trying to find a window or something to run out but I found none. This place is so secure. The sound of a door unlocking breaks me from my thoughts. The door opens revealing a tall bulky man in a suit. His face remains emotionless, cold. I looked away feeling uncomfortable with his presence. He ushered me out. As we go out, a plan formed in my head. I elbowed him hard, the grip in my arm loosen. I took that chance to run away.

But as always, I got caught. Two guards escorted me while holding my arms. I curse under my breath for being bad at physics. After 6-7 minutes walked, we arrived in front of two big brown doors. Before the guards have the chance to knock on the doors, someone inside the room muttered a ‘come in’. It’s like he has been waiting for our arrival. The door opens revealing an old fat-looking man in a suit. Seeing the man makes my stomach churn in a bad way. My guts telling me that he’s a dangerous man. A man you do not want to mess up with.

Slowly, a sinister grin makes its way to his face that makes your skin crawl. He gestured to the guards to bring me in and that’s where my life will change forever.

*flashback ends*

A knocking on the door interrupts me from my thoughts. Turning off the shower, I wrap my body with a towel. Opening the door, I've been greeted with a smirking Blake. I rolled my eyes then head to my closet.

"No hi?" I turned around and face him. "No." He chuckles.

Taking out my undergarments, I wear my panties in front of him still having the towel wrapped around my body. I turned around then dropped my towel to wear my bra. As I was clasping my bra, a hand helps me to clasp it. He kissed my bare shoulder. I let out a sigh. "How's the mission?"

"Easy as usual," I said as I closed my eyes. He starting to trail kisses to my neck. Turning me around and slammed his lips to mine. I kissed him back immediately. His hands are on my waist pulling me closer.

"Are you guys done fucking each other?" We broke the kiss as Austin yelled from outside. We both chuckled as he rested his forehead on mine.

"I think we should go out or they will think we go for a second round." I slapped his chest and he laughed. "Go and get dress." Living a kiss on my forehead he then walked out of my room. I got dress quickly in my shorts and tank top. Heading downstairs, I spotted all my partners are there.

I rolled my eyes once I saw Austin and drake are fighting to get the remote. "Why the hell did Moretti pick you two?" I said as I descend the stairs. All eyes snapped in my direction.

"Because I'm fabulous unlike him," Austin said then shoved drake while getting the remote out from his hand.

I swear these two can’t ever stop.

We have been living together for 5 years but sometimes I still can’t get used to seeing these two fightings over a remote. I mean they are a freaking assassin! Geez.

I looked around and my gaze landed on Matthew. I pointed my finger at him. His eyes widen and gulped nervously. "Hey, ruby." I walked to him and glared at him. "Why the hell can't open the metal door?!"

"What's wrong?" Blake said.

"He almost got me fucking killed!"

"He always likes that. 6 days ago, I almost got killed because he gave me the wrong direction." Emily said. Yes, there's another girl beside me which I'm grateful for. I'll be going insane if I'm the only girl here living with these 4 boys.

"I-I got distracted." I crossed my arms giving him a flat look. "Really?" he sighs "Okay, I’m sorry. I didn’t see that coming." I narrow my eyes at him and he looked away. "I’ll find out what’re you hiding." I sat next to Blake and took the pizza. Before I got a chance to take a bite, Matthew's phone rings. We all stop and looked at him curiously.

"Hello, sir."

"Yes, okay. I’ll them. Thank you, sir, have a good night."

"Let me guess, Mr. Moretti? " Emily said while drinking her beer. Matt nods "He said, he wants to see drake and ruby at his office tomorrow." I took a bite of my pizza then swallow. "Okay." I simply said. We get back to what we’re doing. Austin and Drake fighting over a remote control, Emily looked at them amuse, Matthew smiling while playing his phone and me? I can’t help but wonder, what will he talked about because every time we are done with our mission he never wants us to see him only a phone call. But suddenly, he wants us to meet him unless...

There’s a new mission.

I sighed then drink my beer. Blake touch my shoulder. "You’re okay?" I turned to him and nodded my head. "Come here." I put my drink on the table and lean my head on his chest. He pulled me closer, caressing my hair.

"Aw... What a cute view." Austin says. "You guys should get ma-" before he got the chance to finish his sentences, I threw the pillow to his face again.

"Shut up if you don’t I’ll kill you." He shuts his mouth instantly and gets back watching. I smirked looking at him. "You look hot when you’re mad," Blake whispers to my ear. I could feel my cheeks getting warm. I slapped his chest lightly.

"Shut up or I changed my mind to kill you instead." Blake chuckles.

Chase HudsonA stab of frustration gnawed at the corners of my mind as Ruby stormed out of the living room, her demeanor as cold as ever. For a split second it had felt like she had let her guard down, that she had let herself get comfortable with her surroundings. But as soon as she noticed my presence, her relax demeanor replaced once more by the impenetrable wall of mistrust and suspicion that she had built around herself.I sighed heavily, feeling as though she were trying to avoid me at all costs. With a weary shake of my head, I loose the tie around my neck and headed to my study. The smell of mahogany and leather enveloped me like a warm embrace, and I settled into the plush armchair behind my desk. Pouring myself a generous measure of whiskey, I took a sip and let the fiery liquid burn its way down my throat, the warmth spreading through me like a warm blanket against the chilly air.As I settled into the comfort of solitude, I reached for my phone and dialed the number of my

As I wandered aimlessly through the grand halls of Chase's mansion for what felt like the hundredth time, a sense of futility washed over me like a tidal wave, threatening to drown me in a sea of confusion and despair. There was no getting away from the cruel reality of my imprisonment, no matter how hard I searched or how many rooms I examined. With a heavy sigh, I finally conceded defeat, the weight of my exhaustion bearing down on me like a burden too heavy to bear. I made my way back to the bedroom, the familiar scent of lavender and sandalwood enveloping me like a comforting embrace as I sank down onto the plush mattress, the softness of the pillows cradling my weary body like a mother's gentle touch. My mind was filled with memories of the past as I lay there, staring up at the ceiling with blinding eyes. It served as a bittersweet reminder of the life I had left behind. I hadn't had an actual rest in such a long time, a break from the never-ending cycle of violence and deceit t

The tension in the air was palpable, thick enough to suffocate any semblance of ease as Chase and I sat in silence, the only sound echoing through the room the clinking of our cutlery against porcelain plates. I could feel Chase's eyes burning into me, his gaze like a physical weight that bore into my very soul, but I refused to meet his stare, keeping my focus fixed firmly on my meal as if it were the only thing that mattered. But then, just as I began to relax into the comfortable rhythm of our silent standoff, Chase opened his mouth to speak, his voice cutting through the silence like a knife."Why were you at the party, Ruby?" he asked, his tone deceptively casual yet laced with an undercurrent of suspicion that sent a shiver down my spine.I froze, my fork halfway to my mouth as I struggled to find the right words to answer his question. But before I could formulate a response, Chase continued, his words more of a statement than a question."You were there to kill me, weren't you

RubyI have nowhere else to run.The darkness of the woods enveloped me like a suffocating embrace as I stumbled through the tangled underbrush, my heart pounding in my chest with the frenzied rhythm of fear. I glanced over my shoulder, my breath coming in ragged gasps as I strained to catch a glimpse of Chase's looming figure in the distance. I kept moving forward out of sheer willpower and the survival instinct, but there was no sign of him, no evidence of his persistent pursuit.I knew I was lost, the dense canopy of trees stretching out in all directions like a labyrinth of shadows. However, I refused giving up and held onto the flimsy hope that, somewhere, someway, I am able to get away from Chase. My wounded arm throbbed with a dull ache due to the fight that I had earlier at the party. I grimaced as I slowed my pace, my breath hitching in my throat as I leaned against a gnarled tree trunk to catch my breath. My limbs were gnawing with fatigue, which was eating away at my streng

Chase Hudson The weight of the phone call lingered heavy in the air as I stood outside the hotel room, my mind racing with a tumult of conflicting emotions. "Boss," came the familiar voice on the other end, crisp and efficient as always. "Report," I commanded, my voice tinged with urgency. "There's been a development regarding the incident at the party earlier," my informant began, his tone grave. "We found out that she infiltrated the party using fake names and ID. She went undercover as a waitress, and she is not acting alone. There are four others involved in her plan." I clenched my jaw, my mind racing to piece together the puzzle before me. "Do we have any information on them?" I demanded, my patience wearing thin. "Unfortunately, no," my informant replied. "Their identities and whereabouts remain unknown. But from what we've gathered, they're not your run-of-the-mill criminals. They're skilled, elusive, and highly dangerous." I cursed under my breath, a sense of foreboding
