Chapter 32

I open my eyes and immediately squinted as it made contact with the bright light. I feel something tight on my wrist but trying to move was absolute agony. The wound from the gunshot earlier hasn’t been treated and the fabric is still wrapped around my arm. I groaned in pain as I tried to wiggle my hands as the pain shoot right through my arm.

I give up and examine the place instead.

I looked around the room trying to figure out where I am, but no clue comes to mind. The room is quite small, but it can fit two people. I tilt my head back and realize there’s a bed and a bathroom in the left corner of the room.

This place looks familiar. It looks like a motel room. But is it?

I glanced at the clock on the bedside table and saw the time.

1:40 AM

My eyebrow furrowed in confusion. How long was I out? More importantly, how am I here? What was the last thing I remember?

All these questions ran through my brain. Closing my eyes in hope I could remember the last thing that happened.
