Bursting inside the house, I quickly make my way to my room. Ignoring the calls from my friend. I took my duffle bag and threw all my things and the file in there. I open my laptop and book a flight to Los Angeles. I didn’t bring any gun with me since I’m not using the jet. Bringing the laptop with me, I head downstairs and find a furious-looking Drake.
"What the fuck?! You fucking leave me?!" he burst. Keeping my face expressionless, I looked at him blankly. "What? Are you scare? Do you need a teddy bear?"
The tension in the room grew to make it tenser. "What’s the matter? You two never fight." Blake said.
"Nothing, everything is fine." I walked past Drake but he held my arm.
"Where do you think you’re going?" his voice is cold. I answer with the same tone. "None of your business." I yank my arms from his grasp and walked out of the house after telling the taxi driver to wait.
"Where are you going?!" I ignore them and got in the car quickly. The taxi drives away to the airport. I turn my phone on and erase everything that I search for. Knowing Matthew is a hacker, it will be easy for him to track me. After I delete everything on my phone, I threw my phone out of the window. Arriving at the airport, I paid for him and got out of the car. I went to the nearest ATM and took around 700.000$ with me because I won’t be using my card sooner or later to prevent Matthew to track me. Confirming my plane ticket, I make my way to the plane.
Putting my bag at the cabin, I took a seat and let out a deep sigh. After the pilot announced, the plane took off. It’s a 5 hours flight, I try to sleep but I can’t. I know that my friends are disappointed in me but I have no choice. I just got a feeling something bound to happen.
"Miss we’re here." The air stewardess woke me up. I nodded my head and thank her. Taking out my bag from the cabin, I stop by at the phone store in the airport to buy a new phone. After I’m done with the phone, I enter the cab and told him the address of our house in LA. I told him to wait cause I only going to take a few guns with me.
Yes, I am that crazy cause you never know when you’ll need them. I know I said in every mission we always have a house to stay but in this situation no way I’m going to stay there. Paying for the taxi, I head inside the hotel.
"Good afternoon miss, how can I help you?"
"Afternoon, I would like to stay in the suite room."
I looked around anxiously. "Do you have a card?"
"Um... what?"
"Do you have a card?"
"No. I pay cash."
"I’m sorry miss but we can’t-"
"If you are worried that I won’t pay then here, " I took out the envelope that contains 100.000$ and put it in front of him. He takes a look inside the envelope and looked at it suspiciously. "For your information, I don’t steal, I just don’t trust the bank. Is that enough to convince you?" He nods his head. "Very well miss, may I have your ID." I took out my fake ID and hand it to him.
He types something on his computer then handed my ID back. "Here’s your key Ms. Smith. 8-floor room 1176."
"Thank you." I make my way to the lift and press floor 8. The door closes and I breathe out in relief. That was quite close. Arriving on the 8 floors, I stepped out and find my room. Sliding the card keys, I walked inside my room and closed the door.
I can’t believe I finally made it.
Looking around the spacious room, I could say I’m satisfied with it. The room has a white color, the living room has a big tv and an L grey colored couch. The bedroom has a king-size bed, a love seat with a coffee table, and a windowpane to admire the view at night. I put my bag down and take a seat on the bed.
Now all I have to do is formed a plan to approach Chase. I can’t show up to him and say that I’m Olivia cause for me that name had died a long time ago. Grabbing my laptop from my bag, I try to search every piece of information about Chase. After looking at every single news, I found out tonight there will be a charity event.
Great, I have now formed a plan. Now all I have to do is change my appearance.
My new identity is now Hailey Smith. Since he has seen me in blonde hair, I now have to dye my hair. I’m thinking of dying my hair to a strawberry blonde color cause guys love blonde and red right? So why not both.
Bringing the envelope full of money that I have divided into 3. I head down and hail a cab. I told him to stop at a car dealer. I went inside and my eyes landed on the red Mclaren 720s. I’m really tempted to buy it but it cost me a lot. So I ended up with the red Porsche 911 Carerra 4s. After I signed the paperwork, I immediately drive the car and make a stop at Target to buy hair color and some nail polish. Then I stopped at a boutique to buy a red dress and silver heels.
After paying it, I drove back to the hotel and hand my keys to the valet. I make my way to my room and I start preparing myself. I still have 3 hours till the event start.
First I cut my hair from hip-length to mid-back length. Then I dye my hair, I sighed as I was about to start dying it. I’m gonna miss my blonde hair after 6 years of having it. 1 hour had passed, I jump in the shower washing my hair. I wrap my body with a bathrobe and my hair with a towel.
I check the clock, I have 1 hour 45 minutes to get ready. I blow dry my hair then curl it into a loose curl. For the makeup, I decided to do simple easy brown smokey eye makeup. Once I am satisfied with my hair and make-up, I change into my red spaghetti straps v-neck satin dress with slit. I took my knife, hiding it inside my thighs. I then proceed to wear my silver ankle heels, earrings, and a bracelet. Once I’m done, I applied red lipstick to complete my looks. Taking my silver clutch with me, I put my phone and my small gun inside.
After 1 hour and 45 minutes, I am finally done. Now let’s go and meet Mr. Chase Hudson.
Ruby"That son of a bitch!"The door slammed shut behind me with a resounding thud, the sound reverberating through the empty hallway like a thunderclap in the midst of a storm. Anger boiled within me like a tempest raging in the depths of my soul, threatening to consume me whole with its fiery intensity.I pace back and forth across the room, my mind swirling with a whirlwind of emotions. Anger, frustration, betrayal – they all swirl together in a tangled mess, threatening to overwhelm me like a tidal wave crashing against the shore. But amidst the chaos of my thoughts, there's something else, something I can't quite put my finger on. It's a strange sensation, like a fluttering in my chest, a quickening of my pulse that I can't quite explain. But I push it aside, dismissing it as nothing more than the remnants of the adrenaline rush from our fight in the kitchen. I take a deep breath, trying to calm the storm raging within me. I can't let Chase get to me, can't let his accusations an
Chase HudsonA stab of frustration gnawed at the corners of my mind as Ruby stormed out of the living room, her demeanor as cold as ever. For a split second it had felt like she had let her guard down, that she had let herself get comfortable with her surroundings. But as soon as she noticed my presence, her relax demeanor replaced once more by the impenetrable wall of mistrust and suspicion that she had built around herself.I sighed heavily, feeling as though she were trying to avoid me at all costs. With a weary shake of my head, I loose the tie around my neck and headed to my study. The smell of mahogany and leather enveloped me like a warm embrace, and I settled into the plush armchair behind my desk. Pouring myself a generous measure of whiskey, I took a sip and let the fiery liquid burn its way down my throat, the warmth spreading through me like a warm blanket against the chilly air.As I settled into the comfort of solitude, I reached for my phone and dialed the number of my
As I wandered aimlessly through the grand halls of Chase's mansion for what felt like the hundredth time, a sense of futility washed over me like a tidal wave, threatening to drown me in a sea of confusion and despair. There was no getting away from the cruel reality of my imprisonment, no matter how hard I searched or how many rooms I examined. With a heavy sigh, I finally conceded defeat, the weight of my exhaustion bearing down on me like a burden too heavy to bear. I made my way back to the bedroom, the familiar scent of lavender and sandalwood enveloping me like a comforting embrace as I sank down onto the plush mattress, the softness of the pillows cradling my weary body like a mother's gentle touch. My mind was filled with memories of the past as I lay there, staring up at the ceiling with blinding eyes. It served as a bittersweet reminder of the life I had left behind. I hadn't had an actual rest in such a long time, a break from the never-ending cycle of violence and deceit t
The tension in the air was palpable, thick enough to suffocate any semblance of ease as Chase and I sat in silence, the only sound echoing through the room the clinking of our cutlery against porcelain plates. I could feel Chase's eyes burning into me, his gaze like a physical weight that bore into my very soul, but I refused to meet his stare, keeping my focus fixed firmly on my meal as if it were the only thing that mattered. But then, just as I began to relax into the comfortable rhythm of our silent standoff, Chase opened his mouth to speak, his voice cutting through the silence like a knife."Why were you at the party, Ruby?" he asked, his tone deceptively casual yet laced with an undercurrent of suspicion that sent a shiver down my spine.I froze, my fork halfway to my mouth as I struggled to find the right words to answer his question. But before I could formulate a response, Chase continued, his words more of a statement than a question."You were there to kill me, weren't you
RubyI have nowhere else to run.The darkness of the woods enveloped me like a suffocating embrace as I stumbled through the tangled underbrush, my heart pounding in my chest with the frenzied rhythm of fear. I glanced over my shoulder, my breath coming in ragged gasps as I strained to catch a glimpse of Chase's looming figure in the distance. I kept moving forward out of sheer willpower and the survival instinct, but there was no sign of him, no evidence of his persistent pursuit.I knew I was lost, the dense canopy of trees stretching out in all directions like a labyrinth of shadows. However, I refused giving up and held onto the flimsy hope that, somewhere, someway, I am able to get away from Chase. My wounded arm throbbed with a dull ache due to the fight that I had earlier at the party. I grimaced as I slowed my pace, my breath hitching in my throat as I leaned against a gnarled tree trunk to catch my breath. My limbs were gnawing with fatigue, which was eating away at my streng
Chase Hudson The weight of the phone call lingered heavy in the air as I stood outside the hotel room, my mind racing with a tumult of conflicting emotions. "Boss," came the familiar voice on the other end, crisp and efficient as always. "Report," I commanded, my voice tinged with urgency. "There's been a development regarding the incident at the party earlier," my informant began, his tone grave. "We found out that she infiltrated the party using fake names and ID. She went undercover as a waitress, and she is not acting alone. There are four others involved in her plan." I clenched my jaw, my mind racing to piece together the puzzle before me. "Do we have any information on them?" I demanded, my patience wearing thin. "Unfortunately, no," my informant replied. "Their identities and whereabouts remain unknown. But from what we've gathered, they're not your run-of-the-mill criminals. They're skilled, elusive, and highly dangerous." I cursed under my breath, a sense of foreboding
