Ninety-five

Andreas sat next to Rebecca on the porch swing, a new addition that had made them want to sit together, talking and watching the sunset. 

He listened intently to Rebecca's story about Lacey and her middle school misadventures, enjoying the lighthearted moment after the heavy conversation about her horse accident. He chuckled at the memory of the troublemaker, Lacey, and asked for more stories from their past. Rebecca laughed, happy to shift the focus to happier memories. She regaled Andreas with tales of their high school years, reminiscing about the parties they went to and the pranks they pulled on each other. 

As they talked, they moved closer to each other, their bodies almost touching. Andreas couldn't help but think about how beautiful Rebecca was, her eyes sparkling as she laughed and her hair falling in soft waves around her face. He reached out to tuck a strand behind her ear, his hand lingering on her cheek.

"Remember that horse I got you?
