Chapter 14: Playing Sleuth.

Elizabeth’s POV

“We should call the cops” I begin to panic. Benedict’s been working at the store a year before I started and I do recall the owner mentioning the previous part-timers being fired on cases of theft to which Benedict had reported to her himself.

“Doesn’t it sound suspicious, that he’s the one claiming to have been the one to have caught them? That’s damn shady and your boss is unbelievable! It’s obvious he’s the one behind it and he’s been pinning it on them to secure his honeycomb” Angie hisses, angrily stomping her foot.

“That’s why we need to call the cops, right? What if he pins it on me this time?” My fear speaks for me and Angie stops her act and holds my hand, giving me a firm look. “We’ll need to have strong evidence to use against him first”.

“What’re you suggesting we do then, go in now and tell them we know what they do?” Oh wait, that’s stupid of me.
