“How long till we get there? Are you sure this is the fastest this car can go?”

Elaine whines for the umpteenth time and I sigh inwardly. She’s been bugging me all evening to send her to Angie’s so she can see her and Beth. There’s no refusing her or she turns my office upside down until I concede to her demands.

“Sigh, just stay calm. We’ll be there soon- didn’t you mention Beth having a part-time job?” I calmly say to her, recalling she had indeed mentioned my mate was working at some small store. Elaine goes thinking for a moment before shooting forward in her seat.

“Dhirv, there’s a small grocery store just opposite the street she lives,” She tells him eagerly and I watch the sheer joy on her face as she anticipates meeting her.
