Chapter 18 - Mr Uninvited
Gran and I chatted for a bit longer than usual. After having my late-night dinner I decided to wash the dishes before going to bed.
I went to the washroom and was stunned after gazing at my reflection. My lips were a little swollen.
My eyes were shining with an irrevocable brightness that I have never felt before. My heart picked up its erratic pace every time I thought about the kisses that we shared.
"Get a grip, Skylar!" I whispered to no one. I shook my head and patted my cheeks a bit to compose myself and my tangled thoughts.
After removing the make up I washed my face with cold water from the sink. I changed into my comfortable clothes and plopped on the bed.
Tonight felt like one of the longest nights of my life. I was never the kind of girl who gets hung up just because of a kiss.
