"Arwen Frostfang," Alpha Beren's voice echoed off the cold stone of the Obsidian Blood Prison main gate. "You walk out of these iron bars a traitor to the Frostfang Moon Pack."

I stared back at my father, my black skin cold under the falling northern snow, my small four-foot-eight frame shivering in thin rags. My wolf inner-spirit was completely shattered, completely paralyzed from the beating two years ago, leaving me moving with a heavy, awkward limp.

"I did not attack Lady Eowyn Silverclaw," I said, my voice cracking from disuse as I held my breath against the freezing air. "She drove her own silver blade into her flank to frame me, Father."

"Do not call me Father," Alpha Beren growled, his golden wolf eyes flashing with absolute disgust. "You destroyed Eowyn’s wolf form so she can never shift under the full moon again, yet your weak, pathetic wolf is still breathing."

He tossed an ancient paper scroll onto the frozen mud directly at my feet.

"The Dravenmoor Crimson Dominion demanded your blood or the destruction of the Frostfang Moon Dominion," the Alpha spat. "Prince Thalion Dravenmoor claimed your wolf's spirit as compensation, and our pack elders agreed to cut your bloodline loose forever."

I squeezed my eyes shut as the physical memory of that night tore through my chest. Two years ago, in the dark den of the Dravenmoor Crimson Keep, Thalion had stood over me in the shadows. I remembered the faint metallic smell of blood and his large hand rolling a heavy silver coin across his knuckles over and over while his thick forearms, wrapped tight in black leather, flexed with cruel intent.

"There's a price to pay for hurting Eowyn, Arwen," Thalion had whispered that night, his possessive, dark aura suffocating the air out of my lungs before his heavy iron club slammed down directly onto my ribs, crushing my inner wolf's core into pieces. "Your wolf pays for her pain, but this debt is not over."

I looked down at my trembling hands now, still remembering the dried blood under my fingernails from that terrible night.

"Get out of Eredhollow," Alpha Beren commanded, turning his back on me without a single ounce of mercy. "The Dravenmoor pack council expects you at the Crimson Noble Quarter by midnight, or they will hunt down what remains of your life."

The massive iron gate slammed shut, leaving me completely alone in the howling blizzard. My ruined wolf whimpered deep inside my chest, dead and useless, leaving my small body completely exposed to the brutal winter air.

I pulled my thin clothes tightly around my waist, my breath forming thick clouds as I limped toward the deserted transport trail. I had no pack rank left, no mate bond, and only a single silver coin in my pocket.

Two years in the Obsidian Blood Prison had stripped away my title as the pack leader's daughter. Now, as I stepped onto the snow-covered path leading straight back into Prince Thalion’s ruthless territory, I knew my nightmare was only just beginning.

Arwen FrostfangThinking of my mother’s sacred Luna amulet—the only piece of my true heritage left in the world—my breath hitched. I lowered my head, the bitter cold of the stone eating through my thin clothes. I slowly sank back down onto the frozen ice.My knees hit the ground with a dull crack.Even Lady Cathleen flinched, taking a small step backward. Prince Thalion Dravenmoor stood right behind her, his golden slit-pupil eyes completely empty of mercy as his massive, leather-wrapped forearms remained crossed over his broad chest."Lord Danis, I beg you to forgive my bloodline," I forced out, my voice cracking from the freezing air and the agonizing burn in my paralyzed wolf-core. "Please... forgive me."Before I could finish the ritual words, Cathleen tipped her silver cup, splashing a cold mixture of fermented wolf-liquor directly over my head. "Look at you, Arwen! Two years in the Obsidian dungeon and you're still kneeling like a pathetic dog for him!"I sat frozen on the groun

Arwen FrostfangLady Cathleen’s mouth twisted into a malicious sneer as she grabbed my swollen wrist, yanking my four-foot-eight frame into the center of the Crimson Noble Den's private VIP suite."Look at our disgraced former noble, everyone!" Cathleen announced, her shrill voice carrying over the heavy pulse of dark synth-music and raw Alpha scent filling the room. "The pathetic little wolf-less bitch of the Frostfang Moon Pack is serving drinks for copper!"The crowd of high-ranking warlords and scent-marked females burst into dark laughter, their golden eyes locking onto my short, plus-size body, my cropped hair, and the jagged scar cutting down my dark cheek. My heart hammered wildly against my ribs, my ruined inner wolf cowering deep inside my chest under their crushing pressure."Is that really Arwen?" a rogue Alpha barked, tossing a splash of burning wolf-liquor straight onto my chest. "The murderer who mutilated Lady Eowyn’s wolf? She looks like a battered breeding slave!""G

Arwen Frostfang"It was my mistake back then," I whispered, holding my ground despite the icy wind tearing at my thin clothes. "My wolf paid for it. The pack bond was severed, and I served my time in the blood prison. Can you not just let me go and forget you saw me tonight, Prince Thalion?"Thalion Dravenmoor raised an eyebrow, his lips curving into a ruthless smirk as he lazily rolled a heavy silver coin across his knuckles."Let you go?" he asked, his dark voice carrying the deadly weight of a high Alpha. "You think two years in the Obsidian Blood Prison writes off your debt? Lady Eowyn’s inner wolf was mutilated. She will never run under the full moon again. You think living as a wolf-less weakling is enough to balance the scales?"My shattered wolf whimpered silently inside my chest. The phantom pain of his strike from two years ago burned through my ribs, making my breath catch. He only cared about Eowyn's lost wolf. He didn't care that his own iron club had fractured my core, l

Wham!My head smashed straight against the frost-covered glass panel of the transport, pain exploding behind my eyes."Watch it!" I gasped, clutching my aching skull. My short body vibrated with raw terror."Stupid wolf-less trash," the transport driver barked, slamming his hand onto the steering wheel. He glared back at me in the rearview mirror, his yellow eyes flashing with spite. "I hit a royal carriage from the Dravenmoor Crimson Dominion! I knew picking up low-life rogues from the Obsidian Blood Prison would ruin my bloodline's luck today!"The driver shoved the door open, grabbed my thin shirt, and threw me out into the snow.My four-foot-eight frame hit the frozen dirt hard. My plus-size body slammed against the sharp ice, sending a wave of burning agony through my paralyzed inner wolf. I couldn't shift. I couldn't fight back.
