Honey.

Matteo looked at the little boy Lorenzo was carrying. “Is he alive?”

“I don’t know. There is a bomb hidden in him. We need to remove it.”

Matteo nodded. “Let’s go, I know someone who could help us with that.”

Lorenzo lay Leo down in the back seat. I got into the car and sat next to Leo, resting his head on my lap. Lorenzo sat at the front and Matteo started the car before driving back to the Villa.

We met the medic already waiting for us at the Villa. They took Leo away and started trying to remove the bomb. All through the operation, I stood outside the room, pacing around the hallway.

Lorenzo was at a far corner. He was telling his men through his phone to remain at the building in order not to signal to Michael that Leo had been found.

About an hour later, the door opened and the doctor came out. I rushed to him. “Were you able to remove it? Is he okay?”

The doctor nodded. “Yes, but he will remain unconscious for at least twenty hours.”

“Can I see him now?”

“Sure.”
