I take in my new surroundings and frown; what is this?
It’s been about a week since Konstantin and my brother tried to breach the border and failed. Since then Stefan has been pleasant towards me, he doesn’t even touch me or try to scent me into submission.
I know that this means something big is happening because there’s no way Stefan would just stop his abuse towards me. For the last few months, he’s been in here religiously, taking what he wanted and then leaving.
So why has he stopped?
The uncertainty is making my stomach churn and I have been on edge this entire time. I know that I should relax or calm down for the sake of the babies, but I can’t help this. Something is going to happen, I’m sure of it!
Now this? Moving me into a different, more spacious room with two maids and someone to help me? What exactly is Stefan planning?

Konstantin “Start from the top,” Kai orders, leading Cat over to a chair at my desk. Both of them were still reeling at the bomb Cain had just dropped on them, and emotions were quite high. Cain nods then launches into the same story he told me - including the fact that he worked as a mercenary for Stefan. “I came here seeking your help in reclaiming my territory, but it seems that I’ll be the one leaving with more than I thought I would.” He says, his eyes falling on a wide-eyed Caterina. “Those scars on your neck, who caused them?” Cat asks, looking small in the plush leather seat next to Kai. Cain blinks at her question, then his eye flashes blue, catching her off guard. “Alberto Argenti with his claws dipped in vamp blood; he was ruthless at the time and vied for the spot of Alpha. KonstantinKai called me late afternoon the following day to let me know that the witches had arrived at the estate and I needed to get my ass over there. Cat is there as well; she wouldn’t stay put no matter how Kai ordered her to.Sounds like Cat, ha.The anticipation is at a dangerous level inside of me; I need to know what we can do to eliminate the obstacle in front of us. Konstantin When Kai and I parked our motorcycles outside Fang, we already had our shit figured out. Of course, this plan heavily depends on where Stefan is located because as much as he doesn’t want to admit it, Kai is out for blood. The fucker might have taken Nikolai, and from what Nova has told us, our little brother is still alive. That in itself is enough to drive Kai to a massacre. “Everyone’s here,” Kai says when we step inside the bar, and I can see what he means. We closed the club for tonight, so we all could meet and plan out our attack for tomorrow. The scents in here would have knocked your average wolf to the ground in submission, but no one is backing down, not even Zephyr.
