Chapter 3

Within a week I was able to file all the 5000 posters and 500 banners in the entire Ash city. I was just filing left right here and there. At times I could file about 100 posters at a particular place. The significance of filing more posters at a particular place was to attract public attention.

That was my personal strategy. I realized that no matter what, the probability of the eyes looking at the posters was very high.

Ash city is one of the largest cities in the world with a population of about 2 million people, within a week the whole of Ash city streets were beamed with posters. Baba Moore gave me the opportunity to become a member of his Karate group.

I was determined to excel in that group. I was not joking with my training at all. I was with the thought of becoming a movie star.

Though I was the last person to be admitted into the Karate group I was the first person in the group to receive a black belt. Though some of the group members were not happy that I was rewarded because of my hard work but there was nothing they could do.

With time I was the fastest young guy and I could beat all the members with no hesitation. I decided to lift some metals at a nearby gym to enhance my weight and improve my muscles. It was one of my secrets to improve my karate skills.

There was something special about Baba Moore but we did not know how to describe it. After training one morning I happen to bump into a lady selling some books near the train station. She had displayed the books to attract impulse buying. She had spread white linen material on the floor and on it had she displayed her books.

As soon as I got to the scene a particular book drew me closer to the stand. It was titled the secrets of martial arts practitioners. The book was a bit voluminous. I saluted the seller politely and lifted that particular book.

I turned the book several times to read about the author. The seller looked at me with a smile. I also responded with my infectious smile.

She quickly asked are you practicing martial arts. I nodded with my usual smile. She continued what level are you? Beginner I replied with a stern face. She said to buy it and if you finish reading come and I will give you the next level episode.

I looked at her with keen interest and asked are you always here? She said no and pointed to a nearby store. That is our shop you can come there at any time she said.

I asked for the price and she told me to look at the back of the book. I immediately turned the book and saw ten dollars written and pasted on the back cover. I had only 5 dollars in my pocket. I knew there was no way my 5 dollars could buy a book of 10 dollars’ worth. I had a thought to bargain if the price could come down.
